Being A Li'l Japanese-y!

in #artlast year (edited)

There are many aspects of the Japanese world that I like indulging myself in and obviously one of them is Japanese style of art. The drawing style is something that I have always adored even as a child. I also like using my time to watch videos or read articles on understanding it. Recently I came across a very "kawaii" image of a girl drinking tea/milkshake which was drawn in a very simplistic style. I instantly had an idea of using pictures of my friends/family attempting to revamp their faces into that style.

It definitely seemed like an interesting challenge to make some Indian faces look as kawaii as Japanese lol. However it only seemed easy in my head because simplifying things is sometimes much harder than adding more elements to a piece. It actually took some serious thinking and observation to keep just the right features while removing the others. I have a few ideas of taking these further but that is more or less digital.
