Oct. 6, 20: AutomaticWin, Xbox, and Games

Wow! Having crashed out for basically the whole evening yesterday, even though I was up a little before six, I ended up with nine and half hours!!! Woot! Made up an hour and a half!

Didn’t feel as worn out today, but definitely not at the top of my game.

Did the usual morning routine pretty early. No trading today, got everything sold out right now, but disappointed to find that the fork had been delayed because some Dapps couldn’t get their shit together (or so that’s the excuse) and HIVE tanked even further:

I suppose we’re just filling down into that massive dump we had the other day...telegraphed 1150 or thereabouts. I think we’ve long since entered shitcoin territory, even I’m losing confidence again...been saying “but the dip” since $.8!!! 😭

Spent some time chatting over on Discord, as is usual these days, and helped some students with math questions throughout the day.

My ActiFit exchange was due, so that was a perfect excuse to get out for a proper walk. I had quite a few steps already under my belt from doing the dishes and stuff before we left, so it wasn’t much of a struggle to score the #AutomaticWin! 🏆

Finally tied my all-time ten k per day step steak!!! Tomorrow we start pushing new boundaries...nearing a double century!!! 😮

Was a bit warmer this morning and no clouds, which made for a nice, comfortable walk. The doggy was certainly happy to go, and he was extremely well-behaved today! 🥰

Just about beat the sun up today.

The sun was like: “The day is mine.” And the moon was like: “Pashaw!” Amazingly, I got a shot relatively in focus. 😀

Was a beautiful sunrise this morning...had a strange layer of clouds in a line right across the sky, but that made for some cool lighting effects.

As we cut through between the school and the church there was this bike laying there:

Sort of looked like it had been stolen and ditched, but it could have belonged to one of the kids at school. Wasn’t really sure what to do or whether to just leave it, but I decided to walk it up to the church and park it. I hope whoever it belongs to finds it.

Another day of not really accomplishing all that much. I realized that the Xbox hadn’t been refreshing the downloads, and I found a new one: Slayaway Camp. I played the first few sets of levels through and popped a bunch of the little “first time x” cheevos.

It’s pretty fun for what it is, like a puzzle game where you have to kill everyone and avoid traps while moving in straight lines until you stop. Definitely takes a bit of thinking to figure out what to do and in what order. 🤓🤔

Otherwise, that was it. Got ready for bed kinda’ early and watched the last couple episodes of Daybreak. Really need to DO something here soon.

Still doin’ alright over in the dCity. 🤩 Maybe everybody’s inside with the rona? Regardless, I hope it keeps up! Looks like I got another person moved in, and the unemployment is a bit high. Need to find something for them to do here soon.

Got all my Holybread tasks done for the day. My potions come up due tomorrow morning, but got plenty of gold saved up for that and item repairs. We’ll see how much is left for stats.

As I suspected, my top ten position was tenuous, but I haven’t fallen far. 💪

Finally got all the ingredients I needed to get a brew started on CryptoBrewmaster. Actually nearly set for the next on already with some better ingredients.

Sold that brew out, but it was lame and only worth like 4 CBM. 🤬 Less than I spent on the ingredients, I’m pretty sure. Been trying to invest some CBM to get more back on better brews, but that seems to be a losing proposition.

Four days now without playing Splinterlands. Starting to think that having a whole section of my post about how I didn’t play is lame. I did think of it once, but only in passing; seems to be getting easier to brush it off.
