June 8, 21: 3Yr Hive Birthday, Crypto Bear?, ICEBRK Listing, Oculus, Laps, TV, and Games

Dare I venture to say that my sleep is improving somewhat? Nine to six is right about bang in three sweet spot and while the FitBit said I was twenty minutes short, I’m going to count it good. Dragged a little in the afternoon, but not bad…on the other hand, I didn’t accomplish all that much either.

Got on with the morning routine and had several surprises. Not sure if Elon shit the bed again or what, but we saw double-digit reds pretty much across the board! Considering making a sell just for the capital loss on my taxes for next year, but we’ll see (that’s not the best reason to trade).

Historically, we see significant pullbacks in the middle of the bull run, so that seems to be the question on everyone’s mind: is this the dip or are we back in the bear? I’m still hesitant to go full bearish, but it really isn’t looking good at the moment.

When I went in to do my morning curation and check bals and stuff, I found a nice notification from HiveBuzz:

Today was my birthday! Three years on a chain that’s only a year old…that’s a feat! 😛

Another nice surprise is one of my shittoken punts ICEBRK (by one of our own Hiveans) got listed and got an icon! Very nice to be able to see a dollar value (and pic) in my wallet…turns out my $1.5 is already $7…kinda’ itching to throw some more money at that.

Spent quite a bit of time on Discord. There were a shitton of CAPT rains over there, almost nonstop…and not all tiny ones either, although I still need like 19B just to pay the withdrawal fee. 🤣

I went in and tried to bridge ETH to Polygon again but failed and got stopped out on fees, as usual with every fucking Ethereum transaction I’ve ever tried. 🤬😡

I have some ETH just sitting idle and it’s very tempting to put it to work for me, but then there’s the risks and all the fees to get there…and no way to get back to HIVE (at least not yet as far as I can see). So again, I just keep asking why I don’t just buy HIVE…but none of us really believe we’re going to make any significant gains parking here.

I played some Beat Saber but the tracking is still being a bitch, to the point of affecting gameplay. 😢 I got a new applab game that was supposed to overlay on the piano…that seemed really cool and I got it set up, and while it sort of had the feel of Guitar Hero or Beat Saber, there wasn’t any feedback or score or anything and the songs went way too fast to start. Just gave up on that after a couple of tries.

I made it through without napping, but I didn’t do much either. Watched one of the movies I got the other day: Predators. Was fairly entertaining, I suppose. Kept me awake at least.

Otherwise, it was rainy again today, so didn’t go out much, just did some laps around the house. Wenche made an omelette for dinner and we watched some tube before bedtime.

Once again, got a single ingredient on CryptoBrewmaster today. Never even bothered to go back in and collect it. I suppose I have earned a few HIVE clicking this a couple times a day, but now that I’m playing Rising Star I think this one is going to get relegated to the dustbin.

Speaking of Rising Star, been making some progress on there. The login is still a complete pain in the ass, but otherwise it seems like a pretty well thought-out game for what it is.

I went in and got some starbits on H-E today and actually bought a few cards. Got a singer, an instrument, a vehicle, and a fan booster to get some better tasks.

Made it to level five now and can do the better tasks now! 🎸

Played a little bit of Splinterlands as well before bedtime. Basically just enough to get my quest done for the day.

Didn’t make a whole heck of a lot of progress in the rankings, but I did sneak back up into Diamond.

Had Dragon splinter for my quest today. No DEC, but did get a few cards:

There were a couple more of the Cave Slug available on the market for $.033, so I snagged ‘em up. Still got like seven more to go, but getting closer. Unfortunately, my faith in VFTlab has been shaken, so not sure if I’m going to invest any more over there or not. 😟🤔
