June 11, 21: Routine, Garage Sale Walk, A New Proof, A Movie, and Games

Woot! Slept all the way until seven thirty this morning and got a full eight hours!!! I’ll take it! 🤩😄

Did the usual morning routine and was happy to go in and see that my ten dollars worth of FIRE and MATIC had already made me $.06 in interest…no deposit fee and only fractions of a penny to claim it! I’d just done a test run with ten bucks, but I’m happy so now the question is how hard to go in? 🤔

Speaking of being pissed about crypto, I’ve now held CUB for one month. In that time, I’ve lost $1.1/$1.6 per token in value and have earned -$.06.

Have to just admit that it’s a dog and bail, not going to lose more by paying fees twice more just to keep it alive. If they had shown any loyalty to Hive whatsoever I might have been willing to hold on, but at this point I’m almost happy to take the hard loss just to get out and not to be frustrated by not being able to claim every day for a month.

Decided to mess with Marky and put in a buy order for some LasseCash. 🤣 Now he can’t say it’s only Lasse that’s buying! Worth the .0002 HIVE. 😂

Today was the start of the community-wide garage sale, so I went for a loop around the block to see if there was anything good. Got two DVDs for a dollar and then saw a table full of books for free! They weren’t shit books, either, like proper philosophy. I picked up one by Alan Watts and one by Camu; been quite some time since I challenged my brain in that way.

It inspired me to start thinking on my walk, and though it’s been four years or more since I had any inspiration, I developed a new proof.

Prove: There is no being that is both omniscient and omnipotent.

Proof: First note that the capacity to be surprised is a positive power (not a lack of some power) and, further, that it requires not knowing.

If a being is omniscient, then it is not omnipotent as it does not possess the power to be surprised.

Therefore, there is no being that is both omniscient and omnipotent.

Q.E.D.

I’ve already proven (twice over) that omnipotence itself is a false construct, but this one is an element of building to it. Felt good to think something!!!

Been kind of stuck with all that because I don’t necessarily see a way to build it out more fully into an entire theory. Started thinking why not accept that fact and do a collection of essays rather than trying to write an entire treatise? 🤓🤔

Not much else to show for the day. Grabbed some soup for dinner and we watched Justin, an animated movie, one of the ones I got today. Had to pace some laps before bedtime, but kept the streak alive. 💪

Two days in a row with double digit SIM income? I’m absolutely blown away!

As I suspected, dumping all my Holybread gold into stats had zero effect. I still got lucky and got put against abachon, so I was able to get my tasks done for today.

Still holding position fairly well, but again, who cares? It’s not worth anything.

Still just pounding out tasks on Rising Star. Got to level eight, so I can do the next higher one. It kills the energy, though. Got a pizza once and refilled my energy, but I ran out later on.

I think I got one CryptoBrewmaster ingredient today, about usual these days. I suppose one click a day isn’t too bad for what CryptoBrewmaster is worth.

Played some more Splinterlands today. We got the new airdrop card:

Played quite a bit, actually, and made some progress toward the next Diamond tier.

Only a few more days left in the season, so thinking I might try to get the next tier and then leave it alone, we’ll see.

Had Death splinter for my quest today and struggled a little with it. Got it done, though. A trickle of DEC and a couple cards:

Starting to build up some DEC again, but not sure if I want to deposit it to VFT or what to do with it.

Too bad the owners of HolyBread can't come up with a way to reward players and sustain some profits. I think its a decent enough game that could gain some traction.
