Dec. 22, 20: Oculus, Errands in Town, TV, and Games

Started the day at five and only half an hour short of my sleep goal. I didn’t do as badly today, but was nearly dozing off watching TV in the afternoon.

Just the usual stuff going on in the morning. I did get a nice surprise of 30 HIVE from hive tips at Hivefest! Powered that up right away! I still have some dry powder over on H-E, so I didn’t really need to deposit any over, figured I’d bank it. Funny enough, selling HIVE doesn’t ever cross my mind.

Mom had her car accident a week or so ago and so the car had been in the shop. She was waiting on some parts to get delivered, but they came sooner than anticipated and she needed a ride into town to pick it up.

Serendipitously, I needed to go into town to run errands, so that worked out perfectly! I dropped mom off and then headed around to see if I could find Santa anywhere. I think my quest was relatively successful. 🎅

Was thinking of heading into the puffity puff store today, but I should be set for the holidays, so hiding out.

I played some more Synth Riders and started checking out some more of the games in Rec Room. Dodge ball was lame, but laser tag was pretty cool and I really like paintball. I guess there’s like thousands of different rooms, a little overwhelming to begin...don’t even know what to start with.

I played some of the battle royale as well, but got my ass handed to me. Seems like it’s primarily geared towards younger kids, which makes me feel a little awkward, but I like the leveling up and unlocking different stuff for your avatar. Might try and see what else is available on there, I’m sure there’s a ton!

Although I did get some good sweat and motion on, Fitbit didn’t really register it. It did catch one part, sort of:

Went back and watched the episode of American Horror Story I missed when I fell asleep yesterday. It was the last episode of Apocalypse, pretty cool screwing with time!

Now there’s only one season left. 😭 It’s set in 1984...sort of a slasher style summer camp deal. I’ve only just stared, so I expect more weirdness will start. There is already the ghost of one of the dead counselors from 1970, so it’s definitely coming.

I picked up some summer sausage for us and just had that with some crackers and cheese for dinner. Was feeling pretty tired by that point and got ready for bed. Laid down to watch a bit of the tube, made it maybe a half hour and that was it.

Schaweet! No crime or crises in my dCity today! Not sure what move to make next. I really do want a Bank for the boost in income, but I don’t what to increase my chances of getting robbed and they’re really expensive.

Just couldn’t get the arena wins in Holybread today. Vote bot still seems to be busted. 🤬 They definitely know it’s not working, but it doesn’t seem like they have any intention of fixing it.

Back to stacking CryptoBrewmaster ingredients. Now there’s like four or five new buildings open. All reasons to pay and none explained. What was a simple game has now become needlessly complex. I can’t wait till I can bail out!
