It’s not too smart to load semi-trucks with hay under the wire. I am just glad they ...

... tore down the neutral wire and not the energized phase. Although it was laying across an intersection a couple spans away and they didn’t call in to tell us they broke it. This is the second time I have been here and it was the other Lineman’s second time there too!!! 4 times they have tore this wire down.... Impressive!.... Some people.... I tell ya... One thing I know is I wouldn’t want to see what would have happened if a car got tangled up in the downed wire in the intersection. ~ This wire is aluminum with a single strand of steel as the core. It’s called 4 ACSR, (A~aluminum C~conductor S~steel R~reinforced)and it is is pretty tough. This is what it looks when all the aluminum strands break and get squished together, while the steel core keeps it from breaking. Then the core finally breaks and the wire hits the ground. Then Lineman come and fix it. The End

The knuckleheads that continue to pull the wire down should have at the very least made a call.
Dangerous situation, which could have been tragic.

Sometimes I swear people don’t think at all. “Welp ripped the wire down again, the Lineman will come fix it”. Good grief!!

You need a couple of game cams between the poles where the break happens to try and identify them so they can pay damages.
