New baby snake. Coastal Python named Wormy.

So it's been a long time since I posted here but things are starting to calm down a bit and I have a little more time nowdays.
'

I thought I'd introduce you all to my most recent little friend.

This is Wormy, or worm. Wormy is an approx 6 month old coastal python. A friend of ours ex boyfriend purchased him as a baby and had him for 3 months but then moved away and just left him behind. So we took him in and have been caring for him since :)

Wormy is still very small and unsure about the world but we are working on getting him used to human interaction. He is still aggressive out of fear and I have been bitten a couple times but he is getting much better and he hasn't struck at me for weeks now.

At first he was very difficult to feed. Getting a baby who's instincts are all they rely on to go against their instinct and "be fed" is not easy. We tried many things over many weeks but eventually after thawing a mouse, putting it in a bag with chicken feathers and blood and letting it sit overnight, we got him to eat.
Now all I have to do is warm up a mouse and hold him nearby and he takes it within 10 seconds.

Wormy will hopefully live to be about 20-25 years old and with his gorgeous patterns I think he will make a wonderful adult snake. As soon as he's tame enough :)

I have a lot more animals and updates for you all so I will try and post as much as possible. My little family is growing and it may be growing very large soon.

Aww look at how cute he is!

And if friend's ex literally just left him behind they deserve a swift kick for not even trying to rehome him >_<

Yea I think he said he was going to take it with him and then just never came back for it so after a couple weeks she asked if we could take him or knew anyone. Baby sneks are notoriously hard to deal with so i think it probably happens a lot. people like the look of a little snek but dont wanna deal with a baby
