The final name of the Android Q turned out to be what no one expected

The guessing about the desserts starting with the "Q" letter was in vain, no one won.

Google ended the guessing on Thursday, which was there for at least one year, about what will be the name of the next Android release. Google caused disappointment to anyone, who thought that they will name it after a dessert - because they broke with the tradition, and did not chose such a name.

Instead, Google chose to name the next Android simply as "Android 10", which is, by the way, properly understandable that the current year represents the tenth year of the Android. Google also told that the every new versions of the Android will be "named" after their version number in the future, so they permanently broke with the dessert names.

With the new naming method, Android got a new logo too.

Google presented a new logo with the new naming system. This is not broke completely with the previous one used so far, but instead of the full robot, only its head will be visible, and the company made smaller changes to the text part of the "Android" logo in the new version.

The company have not told the release date of their next Android system, the "Android 10" so far, but we can expect it at the latest during September. This, of course, affects only the Google Pixel phone users, because the new version will be available to other phones with multiple months - or even years - of delay.
