Human Nature: A Term Too Often Used to Keep You Scared

Whenever I talk about the philosophy of liberty (you own yourself, i.e. have the highest claim over your conscious self than anyone else, in the present, past, and future), the principles of non-aggression (note: not the same thing as pacifism), voluntaryism/anarchy (rules, but no rulers), and the like people often respond with "But Human Nature!" If I then ask a simple question, "Do you function this way?" the answer is always, every single time, "No, it's those OTHER people I'm talking about."

"Human Nature" becomes a mythical idea. A loosely defined term to poorly characterize whatever someone can imagine based on their own subjectively lived experience. If there's data such as Steven Pinker's work, it's rejected as somehow invalid. If there's data on how nation state governments distort human motivations through threats of violence and the horrific results this causes (see Democide), that too is ignored.

This is nothing new. It has been going on for hundreds (thousands?) of years. What is new, today, is we have access to all the information revealing what is really going on. The encryption within story, myth, dogma, symbol, and more is being deciphered and decrypted at a global scale. We're on the cusp of a new enlightenment (and just in time, too!).

Central control is once again giving way to decentralized personal responsibility as humans evolve their individual instantiations of consciousness to take on more personal responsibility. Eventually, things will most likely swing too far that way on the pendulum and will spread too far, too thin, too fast, and we will swing back the other way towards centralizing together again.

I think DACs/DAOs are a big part of the future path, along with cryptocurrency and the ability it gives communities and individuals to control their own store of value via non-violent consensus in globally recognized, immutable ways.

If you're reading this post, stored immutable on a blockchain which rewards authors, curators and commenters, you're part of that story.

Thank you for showing up.

Create a problem or crisis and then conveniently provide the solution.

Unfortunately, this has been a commonly used tactic by empires and governments throughout history and location.

I see many new accounts recently created using resource credits.
So as the old ones are being put into rest mode I expect the new one to be powered. A new name to the same old corruption

Human Nature is evolving and while I know many people who could function within a voluntaryist society, there are still far too many who haven't got to that level yet and seem to need authority.

Recorded history is a tiny fraction of time. In this time, we've allowed ourselves to be convinced that true human nature is violet and competitive. This couldn't be further from the truth. We are ultimately creators whose primal desire is to experience life and share with others.
