In the misty mountains.

Looks like a painting methinks. Come and I will take you into the mountain peaks today.

Simply amazing how the colors can contrast in the mountains from bright sunlight to dark mysticism.

The shot above was an earlier one before the mist and the rain started.
We are lucky to have many photographic opportunities between the mountains and the sea and the many farms and raw nature are also abundant in bird life and wild animal life.
I have captured these photos to show you another beautiful side of the mountains.

There in the photo below you can see the mist that started to creep in.

Now watch the beautiful cloud formations above this mountain peak in the next 3 photos.

And finally now with this view we had to leave as the water was coming down.

Like I have said before, the weather over here can change in an instant due to to cross winds created by the ring of the mountain range across the back of the bay and the open ocean at the front.
Many cloudy battles are fought here in the sky, as at times the winds simply rip the clouds apart and at other times it can shape the clouds into alien shapes. We love the skies and they regularly put on some great shows for us.

Now before I end the post, I want to lighten your mood with this shot that I took earlier.

I so wish that I was an artist that could paint, but the only thing that I can paint is my shoes with polish hahaha.

And That's All Friends!

We have similiar cloudy goodness on our mountains but Idont think we have any spectacular ones with such steep slopes, ours tend to be very wide

Oh yeah, we have some of those up north in the country, but thankfully the mountains down here were found to be the oldest in the world.
They have seen much wear and tear facing the Atlantic ocean with it's winds and it was the wind that cut the peaks in them.

One day a section of our beach here near to a mountain is filled with rock and puddles and the next day the same beach is filled with pure white sand.

Our power will be cut off now at 8pm. (7:49pm now) for 2 and a half hours.

Yeek, the power cuts must be a bit tiring?

The weathering away of them into such dramatic peaks make them look as cool as anything!

Yes, they started to build two new very big power stations that were supposed to be completed by now, but due to corruption and poor workmanship it remains a dream.

I also love those raw and huge forbidding peaks. They speak of timeless strength and power.
