Viennese Sunset

There is a big difference between the Viennese Sunset and the Andalucian Sunset. In Spain, we are near the Mediterranean Sea and we live up on the countryside and to be specific, on top of the mountains of Andalucia. There we can see the beautiful sunrise and sunset with a beautiful backdrop which are the hills as well as the Sea which make it more amazing.

Here in Austria, we have the Danube River, but we seldom see the sun settling down as there are buildings and apartments that hinder the view. It is possible though to see the rise and setting of the sun but one should take efforts to go out in the field or open area.

Yesterday, I took Lily, our chihuahua princess for a walk in the area near the golf club. We often went here with Ako, my rottie for 14 years til 2007. Now, it´s Lily´s turn (She had been the dog of my mom-in law and when she passed, she came to us).

Abandoned Nature

We love to go here to walk the dog, it is a quiet area full of trees and wildflowers as well as insects in abundance in Spring and Summer til Fall. It is a small piece of wooded land and it´s where I collected wildflowers and to make pretty wildflower arrangements. Below are two of those arrangements.

I am an avid lover of nature...I see small details around me and I love what I see every time. In my perspective, Mother Nature gave us a beautiful gift we should be thankful for. Nature has become a passion since I was a kid and a few years back I wrote the poem below as my gratitude to Mother Earth.

For The Love of Nature

in the midst of the morning dews, my dream vanished in its hues
I see you in the soft touch of light, thought of it as love at first sight

the solitude of a pathway deafening, but what follows later enticing
for when larks start humming, new days enhance a bright beginning

your beauty is a delight beyond compare, it´s nice to know the pleasure you share
I love the thought of being near you dearly, tis a pledge I´d like to go through clearly

I praise the Almighty for his creation, in silence I give him my appreciation
it is said that poems are made by fools like me, this I let be
for mother nature I truly love thee
