Beautiful Tsengwen Reservoir (曾文 水庫) is the largest Reservoir in Taiwan

I am a newcomer in the Hive Community, you can call me Etty. I am an Indonesian citizen who is currently working and also continuing study in Taiwan.

As a Moeslem at first time I am little bite difficult to get Halal food and Muslim-friendly tours in Taiwan, where a country that is actually Muslim is a minority here. However, when I was with SIRAYA and IMDAT, and the RTIS group had the opportunity to visit Tainan city, with various tourism and Muslim-friendly facilities. I was very impressed when I visited the beautiful Lake, that called Tsengwen River which is the largest lake in Taiwan.

As we know, nature has a deep meaning for human life. Nature also shows us how powerful it is with all its beauty.Like the panoramic view of Tsengwen Lake, which is one of the Muslim tourist destinations that my friends and I visited while in Tainan.

The beautiful lake stretches out and is decorated with neat lined up plants, making the atmosphere even more comfortable.The cool breeze brings us in a pleasant atmosphere, while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Tsengwen Lake.

Tsengwen Reservoir (曾文 水庫) is the largest reservoir in Taiwan. With beautiful European-style views that make many tourists want to visit again and again, as well as an impressive dam tower above. The breathtaking view from the top of the viewing platform, reminiscent of a Swiss lakeside view, is the charm of the Tsengwen Reservoir.

Many people have childhood memories of this place; Excellent camping areas, barbecue places, and comfortable accommodation in a youth center make it a popular place for colleges to hold activities.

In 2016, the Tsengwen Reservoir sightseeing boat returned to service, making it an even more attractive destination. Take a boat to a hidden waterfall at the end of the reservoir, experience the pleasure of fishing, watch the eagles hunt on the surface of the water.

Muslim visitors like me don't need to be afraid of hunger while enjoying the beautiful atmosphere on Tsengwen Lake. There is a place to eat that also provides halal food. At that time I ordered mini pizza and ice for lunch, while enjoying the beauty of Susana Danau.

The location is far from urban areas and winding roads, making visitors unable to come to this place using public transportation or buses. You have to rent a travel car to take you to visit this place.
