When we were kids we had a small stuffed monkey named Roy that my brother and I played with together. My brother died much too young and his box of memorabilia that included the monkey went to his son. Then there was a house fire and everything was lost including Roy. There were many valuable things that were burned but I think I felt most sad about losing the monkey.
