Crafting For Holiday

Personalized gifts are preferred by some people just like me. Done and gone are those days when everything you want as a gift can be purchased on a shelf. It was nice and fun to do that and very quick too made it easier to give someone a present. On the contrary, you may also receive the a gift in the same fashion and for all you know you had seen that item before while browsing the shelves LOL. That happened to me several times and I just laughed. I now appreciate anything hand made or crafted because I know there is so much thought and time spent on that craft and that makes me feel happy and fulfilled. It does not matter if it is a hand drawn greeting card or a pastry you baked. I know you put a lot of love in there and that makes it more special that could not be compared to an expensive gift that I may not even like. I love to do crafts with my children and they help me too when I do baking. They have fun and learn at the same time. When I was growing up I just watch my mom do things I got no hands on involvement and I do not want my kids to just be observes. I now have my two assistants int he kitchen when I bake and when I create crafts.

For this entry I am using colors that are a bit vibrant and bright. I already had two pale in a row and I did not want this to look boring and uninspired. Here I show a mom crafting a Christmas sock stitching it with her needle. Her son is having fun painting a wooden wheel for his wooden car. All sorts of ornaments and bling are on the table for a busy crafting day. That is how me and my kids look like on a normal busy day.
