Long Cycling to Chernomorets 🚴‍♀️ before Steem Fest

Today with @outlinez and other friends, we decided to make long cycling trip from Burgas to Chernomorets and enjoy the wonderful weather and views. This Sunday is my last free day before I start my long Journey to Steem Fest

We passed through Protected area Poda.

Cycling on black roads to Park Rosenets.

Along the way I saw a still fresh lilac.

We continued to Atia and entered in Chernomorets.

Chernomorets is located 24 km southeast of Burgas, on the southern shore of the Burgas bay. The small bay, which the Greeks used to call St. Nicholas from ancient times, is shaped like a sea horseshoe, facing the opening to the north.

We were visited St. Nicholas Temple.

St. Nicholas Temple was established in 1858 on the site of the oldest chapel in the village. The construction of the temple is linked to a local legend, which tells of a group of Greek sailors who were shipwrecked in the Sozopol Bay but are saved thanks to the icon of St. Nicholas, which they carried with them. Before leaving, sailors leave the icon of the locals to preserve it. Later was build a temple dedicated to the saint.

The church is a one-nave basilica, a cultural monument of local importance. In 1995, the church was destroyed by fire and the only thing surviving are a carved wooden cross with shackles, candlesticks, a throne gospel, a gift from Russian troops and the miraculous icon of St. Nicholas. Today the church attracts with its wooden iconostasis, carved by the Smolyan masters and the Garden of Eden. Some of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker can be seen in the church.

The Garden of Eden - was truly magnificent at this time of the year.

The chapel "St. Panteleimon" is located in the courtyard of the church.

At the backside, I saw hens and turtles among the leaves.

After a magnificent walk in the garden of the Saint Nikola Church, we went to the final destination - North beach in Chernomorets.

We passed the old ship.

Beautiful rocks with wonderful views. The Bulgarian flag is depicted on the rocks.

There - hidden among the rocks and the water has located the iconostasis of St. Peter.

After short break we returned back and stopped to Fishermans village. Long break and again cycling through black roads.

Before sunset, we returned to Burgas.

Today we were cycling 57 km.
