My Actifit Report Card: November 23 2019 One Month later
One Month later
This morning it was a bit cool for me to go for a beach walk, I agreed with my wife a year or so ago after a bout of Pneumonia and a chest infection, that I wouldn't go for photo walks if the temperature was not about 45 F and I have pretty much stuck to that this morning it was closer to 35 F at the time I normally got for my morning walk so I stayed in, however around midday she had a hair appointment, so after I dropped her off I went for a stroll around Beaverbrook trails here in Milford to see how much it had changed since my last walk there about a month ago, the temperature was just on my threshold for photo walks, but the real feel was the same as the actual temperature so it was a nice one for walking, especially as there was hardly any breeze.
It was a nice stroll and I will share some phone shots from today's walk below, but let me start with a couple of shots from my visit a month ago to give us all a reference for how much it has changed with the seasonal change,
This next shot was taken on the 25th of October and there were plenty of colors out

Another shot from the same day nice and colorful

And now let's look how it was today
As you can see the colors are pretty much all gone, but even so still a nice place for a stroll, I had about 45 Minutes free while my wife was getting her hair done, so I did two loops and about 5k Steps

In one of the recent storms a few trees had been knocked down over the track, there was about 3 spots like this with a tree across the path.

More signs of trees blown down further along the path, not that I neede dit but there would have been a good connection there with the cellular tower in view.

The walk takes you around a marshy area, which you can see in this next shot

After I picked up my wife we popped to the Big Y a new Supermarket that just opened here to check it out, and the Oscar Mayer Hot Dog vehicle was parked outside it, and then after lunch we went to the mall for my wife to get more steps in so I got another % K steps in, for a total just over 11 K more than I expected to get today

As usual awesome shots! I love seeing the contrast of late summer to full-on fall photos.
Please, i ask for forgiveness in advance! But, i had to do the temp conversion and it's been a few degrees cooler than 45°F here the past few days and honestly kids are in shorts, i am in caprees and we are just thrilled with how balmy and mild it is!! 🤣 Perspective is everything i guess. Though, i guess if you're not used to the cold it could be intense. Be sure to keep your immune system boosted, stay well hydrated and rested and you will have a better chance of beating virus and infection. Honestly, oddly cold does not cause a cold! Believe it or not. It's a myth. I recently found this vitamin C and am super excited to try it. And, to have it on hand when darn old bugs try to make life miserable.
No need to ask for forgiveness, I have said to myself that I shouldn't be complaining it's not that cold compared to what others are getting, and your right that its a matter of perspective, and we do adjust tot he surroundings we are in, I am finding that with either age or because of the blood thinners I am on I feel the cold a lot more these last couple of years than I did a few years ago, I know cold doesn't cause a cold, but with my Lung damage I have to be careful of breathing in cold air, for too long, I have seen a direct correlation between that and getting chest problems I do my best to keep my immune system in as good a shape as possible, I am now off to check that Vitamin C
I've never seen the Oscar Meyer Weiner-mobile in person. Looks like fun, though! I wonder what the requirements to be a professional weiner driver are...
I think this is the first time I have seen it parked somewhere I did see it once before from the train window driving along the highway
LOl good questions about the qualifications of the driver lOL
Wow. Sam really doesn't like me to go outside when the temps are in the low 40s. He's afraid I can't dress warm enough...
Great photos as per normal! I really like that you included the 'before' photos in the post so I could see the difference. Pretty dramatic.
We've had a couple of timely rains and the desert is just beginning to green up a little. I may have some photos to share sometime soon.
Thanks for a great walk!
The cold never used to bother me so not sure if its age, or the blood thinners or perhaps a mix of both but i really feel the cold these days more than I used to
Would be cool to see the greens coming out your way as they fade away here
How lucky you are there is somewhere close to home to go for walks in nature, the change is dramatic between the two months since you were last there.
Embracing that cold air must be invigorating, dress up warmly and take a good long stroll.
yeah for just a month is sure changed a lot and it is a lovely place for a stroll, I have plenty of layers so can manage the cold, if needed I tend to avoid to cold if I can as it does affect my damaged lungs, but today its raining so I will get steps in with my wife at the mall
i like green nature and your post is full with beautiful nature photograph...
Thanks for share with us..
Thanks for your visit and support ;)

That looks like a cool place to walk. I like how the trail is so well groomed and flat. Not much that you have to worry about tripping over or falling on. Besides that big tree across the path! Nice shots!
Thanks I do love this trail and am glad it is open again it really is an easy and pleasant walk :)
