Yet again a morning walk by the Water

This morning I started the day with a visit to Walnut Beach and Silver sands boardwalk, always a refreshing way to start the day for me, I got to the beach at about 6 Am and did about 6K steps there at a nice relaxing stroll, for the most part my legs are feeling a lot better if I don't get carried away walking like a madman, so that's what I plan to do from now on, from what I have read muscles cramping is a common side effect from taking the Statin that one of my Doctors have me on, so till I see the Dr and discuss if I really need to be on it, I am going to take easy walks and do a little bit of stretching beforehand which seems to be helping.

Getting older is not all it's cracked up to be

But hey people have a lot worse health issues than me and considering all the crazy things I did when I was younger I think I am doing pretty well and count myself lucky :)

Now a couple of shots from the previous visit to the beach

Starting with a golden and yet moody sunrise

Often I see people fishing on my early mornings walk, some with fold-up chairs and chilly bins, but this group even brought a tent along with them, it seemed to me that Dad was happy out fishing but they had a young child with them so the Mum and child were out of the sun in the tent

Daily Actifit Photos

And now for some shots taken with my iPhone on my mornings walk, I wasn't expecting to much of a sunrise this morning as the forecast was saying heavy clouds, so it was a nice surprise to see some colors in the sky when I got to the beach about half an hour before the sun as due to rise.

A little later on my walk, we had the mornings blues and the Moon heading down to set by this time there were a few people walking along the boardwalk.

And looking the other way the sun was rising but hidden behind the clouds and still giving some color in the sky, and its hard to see in this shot but if you look in the water in front of the two yachts, you can see a person at first i thought it was someone fishing, but its actually someone out there with their tripod setup catching photos of the sunrise

This morning I ventured a little off the Boardwalk, I have noticed this closed off-road that I had not walked on before so decided to take a stroll and check it out, nothing really special but some nice greens and blues at this stage

And I turned down another road and did a loop back to the beach, at this point headign back to the beach there was some low level fog that I thought looked kinf of cool

The east just gets amazing sunrises!! I miss that. The first moody sunrise is amazing. The fishing family may have been out of the sun in the tent but my experience they must also be roasting like turkeys! It gets warm in there...haha Thanks for sharing your beach walk, all your pics are super! xox

Yes I am lucky here as I get out for sunrises far more than sunsets, in fact its been months thatI have been to catch a sunset. but with the days getting shorter that may change soon
I did wonder about that, but it was a cooler morning and maybe he only fishes in the early mornings and gets out before it gets too hot

Maybe you're right that they might only fish in the morning, I know myself, I can't stay in there past 9 am!! I catch both sunset and sunrise but as a night shift worker but mostly without a camera, just a memory. Looks nice from 200 ft in the air tho. I guess with the sun setting earlier it will make it easier for you to get them both now. We do get the odd sunrise but nothing like when I lived on the coast. The sunsets are fierce out here, kinda makes up for it.

I to like to be off the beach or streets by 9 on weekends to avoid to much time in the sun and 8 weekdays for work
Nice you catch the sunrises and sets each day even if without the camera
Weekdays I see the sunrise most days and sunsets during the cooler months with shorter days from the train as I commute

Have a great day

Gorgeous images! You might try taking Co-Q-10 for the muscle aches. It has helped some people on statins. Also, make certain you don’t have a low vitamin D level, as that can lead to muscle aches independent of statin medication.

Thanks Kindly and thanks so much for the info on Co-Q-10 I will pick some up tomorrow to try

I did have now vitamin D on my last blood test almost a year ago, but have been taking it every day, I did a blood test yesterday so will know shortly what that reading is like, will be interesting to see

You get plenty of sun on your walks, which will help your D too. Have a great week.

I would have though so but thinking about it most of my walks are early morning before the sun is strong and with the skin damage I have heard I do avoid direct sun during the day or cover myself with sun screen which reduces the vitamin D I guess
Will be interesting to see the results

Statin is not good at all! I have read some papers on it!
If you were here, there are herbal medicine and other alternative!

Lovely photos, beautiful colours!
Keep well and good luck!

I did a blood test yesterday will see what my numbers are and discuss it with my Dr next time I see him, MY cholesterol levels have always been pretty good so I know why the Dr put me on them because of the blockages I have had, but I will still ask do I really need to be on them

thanks for the info I hope to see my Dr this week hopefully on Friday and will try and come off them, I will keep garlic oil in mind to try

It’s been proven in several papers! I even gave a few bottles of garlic oil to a monk plus some lecithin capsules! I asked him to take these for six months!

He stopped taking his chemical medicine almost two years now! He later showed me his medical prescriptions! He had been on these unclogging and anti high blood pressure for seven years! I was quite shocked!

Now he’s very healthy and look after his own food intake!

I am quite good with alternative healing supplement and had helped several people and friends in the past. My gardener’s high blood pressure also became normal!
I like to explore natural and organic cures!

WOW thats amazing,, I will visit a health store tomorrow and see if they have Garlic Oil I think it is well worth trying for sure ;)

thanks so much I do much prefer natural over chemical medicines

I will comment on the walk I did with your shots; A majestic dawn, I enjoyed every meter absorbing every orange hue that bathed my eyes.

I understand that some sequential effects of statins are; muscle pain, stiffness, cramps and weakness that fit daily activities. Do you take statins to control cholesterol levels?

0

avatar

Thanks so much so kind of you to say it was a lovely start to the day

I have had blockages in my legs and have a few stents in each leg, MY cardio Dr didn't put me on the statins, but when my cardiologist heard i had stents he wanted me on them just as a precaution even thought my Cholestrerol levels were well within the normal range before I started them my total cholesterol was 140 and and LDL 84 wills ee what they are when I get the blood test from yesterday results later this week

I wish that the results of the analyzes are satisfactory so that you do not take more Statins, do not forget to make your walks in addition to enjoying them a lot are for you healthy.
Have a restful break to start a week full of energies ;)

If you use the garlic things, like @kaminchan suggests, please be aware, that you might get problems with your wife - I hope, you have a spare bedroom for you to sleep in future 😉

Seriously, many people use garlic "medicine" in pills and oils or eat the pure garlic here, and it really seems to help at many health problems. But I am no doctor, nor do I know anything about your special health issues, apart from what it is. I know, you will do the right thing, and that you will be fine again soon. As you say, take it easy, and have a rest on that bench you posted lately 😊

What a gorgeous sunrise, my friend, I love it 😊
This is, what I also was hoping for yesterday, but I also had a good morning walk without such a colorful sunrise and without such a beautiful beach with the bordwalks and piers 😏
That fog gives a nice effect on the photo, which you took on the dirt road.

Hahaha! Very good advice! Be warn of the negative side effect of garlic! Don’t eat fresh ones!! LoL.

You always have to read the leaflet 😉

I like to eat fresh garlic every now and then and I love pickled garlic. The fresh ones I can only eat at home, if the rest of the family is not at home, or if everybody had something to eat, which had garlic as ingredient 😉

Have a nice day, dear @kaminchan ... !BEER

Lol 😂 but that’s not a problem since my wife hasn’t been well and needs a good nights sleep plus the fact I get up so early plus the fact that I snore like a train 🚂 I now sleep in another room

Add to that I use garlic generously when cooking already I don’t think adding the garlic oil would be a problem for her 😎

With taking it easy fir a week the legs are doing better I just have to stick to leisurely strolls and not walk like the mad man I am lol 😂
It was a great day at the beach yesterday and that little patch of dog was good but Mother Nature got us mixed up it was you asking for the fog

!BEER

Oh, I didn't know, that you are already sleeping in another room - so the garlic will not be a problem, especially not, if she is used of its smell anyway when you cook.
I do like the smell of garlic :)

Yes, follow your doctors' instructions for a while and keep the mad man inside ;)
I was asking for the fog, and I got some, but it was very far away ... never mind, as said, I had a nice morning too :)

And now another week begins for us I hope yours has started well, I am in the orifice now and ready to shuffle papers and attend meetings, but hey it helps to pay the bills

I will be seeing my General Dr on Friday so I may hold off of Garlic or anything till I see him and see what he says

But I wont stop with the virtual !BEER

My work week has ended before yours began - I have been for a few hours in the office doing some important work, which cannot wait, and then I took the rest of the day and week off :)))

I don't think, the doctor will say something against the garlic in addition to the medicine, because if it doesn't help, it won't harm you neither ;) but I don't know, as you know ;)

You can tell him, that you have quite a lot of !BEER daily - I wonder, what he would say ;) lol

I thought at first it was a typo when you said the work week has ended, but its not cool your taking the week off make the most of what’s eft of summer i say :)

Any plans for the time off?

Yes the garlic should not be an issue so I may pick that up someone also mentioned Co_Q-10 whiich I have heard a lot of people say is great but I will ask the Dr about that

LOL I thinkI will pass on telling the Dr about my new obsession with !BEER LOL

Yes, I think, the weather will be nice in the next few days, I really hope so.

I want to visit my parents and stay there for one or two nights. My plans are to shoot a ton of photos from macro to wildlife, and from sunrise to waterfalls 😊 ... but I'll see, what I can realize, because on Thursday I need to be at home again, and I don't want to stress myself :)

Maybe I just sit in the garden, relax, drink a virtual !BEER and wait for a nice bird to fly by 😊

Yes, asking for the opinion of a doctor whom you trust cannot be wrong.

Ohhh wow! That sunrise... an award winner! :D

Thanks so kind of you to say it was amazing that morning even if very short before the colors faded away but I find that happens a lot with the more spectacular sunrises or sunsets for that matter

Yes I have to admit to myself with age and the meds I am now on I cant do what I used to do 30 or even 5 Years ago, but if I pace self and do not overdo it I can still get some nice walks in :)

I'm not sure you could have gotten any more color in that if you tried! What a beautiful sunrise and even though there are so many incidental things in this post I come back to the Brilliance of the color. Absolutely stunning. I have not got much color in Sunrise on the weekends because it seems like weather is uncooperative it won't throw me a little color. This too will pass.

Have a great week ahead!

Father funny thing is I did actually bring own the saturation a little in this shot but the sunrise that morning was really over the top colors its funny sunrises like this seem to come and go so fats this one peaked for just a few minutes then fading away to nothing the more subtle colored sunrises seem to me to last longer
Hopefully next weekend you will get more colors at sunrise or sunset

Thanks a short week for me telecommuting on Friday, and as discussed hoping it is a great week with good news :)

Looks like you had a lovely walk! I wouldn't mind to go for walk there myself, just not that early, lol. I love that fogy shot thou, which probably can be captured only in the morning. However, the sunrise is a winner, even if it's an older shot! If I want to take photos of sunrise by the lake, I would need that tent you captured on one of your photos. I wish we would have sunset on the lake, but nooooooooo!!! This is why I don't have any sunset or sunrise photos on the water, lol. When I go on vacation in the future, I have to make sure I go to a place where I can photograph sunset on the water, because I am not getting up for sunrise, lol. Anyway, great shots!!!

The funny thing for me is I dont think I have taken on sunset shot this year yet, I am so much more motivated to get out early ( while my wife sleeps in), and spend the evening with my wife at home, that sounds a good plan for your next vacation

Since I was about 14 I used to get up at 4:15 every day to go for a cycle, run and swim before school as part of my training for sport, I gave up the training but not the gettingup early LOL

A lovely post JJ and I am so happy that I gave you a 100% vote.
Hope that you strike the $20 mark here my friend.

Btw, On Saturday the doctor told me that I am just as old as the naughty little boy inside me. Makes one think doesn't it?
Blessings to you guys my friend!

Absolutely stunning photography here @tattoodjay, the colors in that first one is just too gorgeous! That last one looks like a painting, just love it.
Hope the cramping sorts itself out!

Thanks kindly for the nice feedback, and I am now pacing myself with walking and doing stretching before a longer walk and it seems to be helping ;)

It's pretty bad that they don't include YOGA in the activities.
