It's The End Of The Days Activity For Me And I Gotta Hit The Hay early. Today was just filled with walking and house chores. But in between, I wrote a poem. A poem for the soldiers...
O ye civilians, sleep easy, for we are there to ensure you sleep easy.
You won't wake up dead, take your pillow and sleep easy, we will keep watch over your lives.
Sleep easy o civilian, for we are simple soldiers, doing what we do, soldiering to ensure the safety of our wives and sons.
Giving our lives for you, dying for you, that we will do; always and forever.
Don't ask us for stories, none; we have to tell.
Just make us happy, for happiness is morphine to our pains, the pains we felt, the pain we carry around.
Sing our names, makes us feel wanted.
Fear nor Fret at our presence , for we are men, men like you, only on different paths. The path of the brave, the path of guardians.
We are simple soldiers.
