Long walk to Taronga zoo, plus My Actifit Report Card: December 23 2019
Today mrshill and I went for a long walk around the harbour to Taronga zoo. We each carried packs weighing 11.5 kgs. We walked from home, through the Botanical gardens, across the harbour bridge, out to Cremorne point, around Mosman bay and ended up at Taronga. From there we caught the ferry back to Circular Quay and walked home. In all we walked about 14 kms.
The highlight was stopping for lunch near the Robertson Point lighthouse. We sat on a bench and enjoyed cheese and bread whilst looking out at this view:
From there, the lighthouse was just a short walk down the path ...
I always get excited when lighthouses are on the agenda! There’s just something about them ...
Our afternoon stop was at Curlew camp where we ate cherries and watched dogs play fetch with their owners in the water:
We were absolutely exhausted by the end of it all but it was great training - distance-wise and weight-wise. The walk wasn’t bad either.
