Actifit Blacklist

As most will have seen, with the new Steemit look there is now a big red (1) beside my name everywhere because I got myself deserved on the Actifit blacklist a long time ago. This post is made as a way to explain what happened, give a sincere apology.

I have been on Steem for almost 3 years and was made aware of the Actifit project in a comment on my 2nd blog @byebyehamburgers that I have been using the past 2 years to track my health and activity which has helped me tremendously from drifting away into old bad habits. It wasn't until the IOS app was released that I actually tested it out (My First Actifit Post). I liked the idea of how it being able to get an Actifit upvote could give that extra bit of motivation to be a bit more active each day as upvotes generally are very hard to come by on this platform.

I enjoy my blogging activity here on Steemit and have always put enough effort into my posts to make them worthy to show in the feed on the ones that are following me. Actifit posts never really cut it for me but it was possible to edit them into a real post after publishing them through the app and I tried that for about a week but had to change my morning posting routine to an evening because the steps reset before midnight. I did not enjoy the new evening posting routine and quickly switched back to my regular morning posting time right after when I wake up which still works best.

By that time I was also running a curation project @upvoteshares (which is still going strong). The model that is built on is similar to SBI with some key difference to make it fair and scalable (Read Info) and also comes with Sponsorships to spread some love and upvotes to smaller accounts helping those grow. Actifit was a perfect fit to grow that sister account (@minnowshares) giving all shareholders of the curation project that are in if for the long run bigger returns in the process so I started using that account to publish the Actifit reports when I reached 10k+ steps and always editing the posts itself to make it look unique. That post (link) even got the question by peter if it were extra Actifit posts which was not the case.

At the time selling or trading AFIT tokens was impossible since SMT's kept getting delayed and Steem-engine did not exist yet. Still, the team came with a way to exchange AFIT tokens for STEEM upvotes putting a value of 1 AFIT = $0.036 and an in-app function which could be used to get on a waiting list to get the big upvotes. This was great since before it was extremely hard to get some good value upvotes on this platform.

I'm very much a numbers guy and from the start, and this valuation of 1 AFIT being worth 0.036$ made no sense to me whatsoever and just felt like Actifit was just gaming the system trying to pretend their token was actually worth this much while it was not backed up with anything. Since these upvotes were so big they grew more popular with the waiting list getting longer and longer making it hard to convert AFIT tokens into what was claimed they were worth and I started to publish one of the reports weekly on my @byebyehamburgers account at the time not really seeing it as a problem.

This is where things escalated as I just got greedy to the point where I was switching my reports around between my 4 accounts doing the steps and implementing the reports into my regular posts. I knew at the time that what I was doing was not ok but I backward rationalized that if they are allowed to game the system I might as well game it myself which by no means was ok. I stopped doing it so excessively shortly after but got banned from using Actifit shortly after without getting a warning of "hey what you are doing is not ok" which would have fixed the situation on itself as I would have fully agreed with that with shame for letting myself get carried away and an apology.

So I got banned/blacklisted and also didn't receive any of the AFITX airdrop which is needed to get the AFIT tokens onto Steem-engine but accepted that as fair punishment and didn't use Actifit anymore after that. The most recent development with the Steem interface having changed publically showing a big red (1) aside from the names of all 4 accounts as if I'm a criminal is by no means fair compared to the crime though as it totally screws up everything I build up over the last years here.

So in this post, I apologize for the mistake I made and request for my accounts (@costanza | @byebyehamburgers | @upvoteshares | @minnowshares to be removed from the ridiculous blacklist which is currently giving me this criminal stamp. I don't mind these accounts being banned from using Actifit but it should be done in a reasonable way and not like this. I would donate the AFIT tokens in those accounts to a good cause that is supported by Actifit but the way the system works it doesn't allow me to do this since you need AFTX tokens to move them in the first place.

This post contains my side of the story how I experienced it. If there is anything factually incorrect feel free to let me know. Thanks for taking the time to put my accounts off the blacklist and my apologies again for my behavior which was obviously not ok.
