No running Feet but a running Nose!

My Actifit Blog #439 | 14 October 2019 |


Basically I shouldn't have participated in the competition yesterday, because I already had a little sore throat the day before and my nose didn't feel good. It was slightly clogged. For me these are always signs of a cold.

Unfortunately, sometimes I am very ambitious. I absolutely wanted to take part in the 10K race. As long as I don't get a fever (for me a NoGo), I would be able to do that, I said to myself.

A hot bath on Saturday evening and a persuasive talk to my body to please not let me down tomorrow helped quite well. Although I felt on Sunday morning after getting up, that I am not really totally fit! My body struggled with something, but I told him to get through the run and then I would give him a rest.

Ok . . now my nose is running, my energy level is rather low and I need rest and relaxation so that my body can recover. Therefore today only a short walk to reach at least 5000 steps.

In a few days I'll be fit again.


Im Grunde hätte ich den Wettkampf gestern nicht antreten sollen, denn ich hatte bereits am Vortag ein wenig Halsschmerzen und meine Nase fühlte sich nicht gut an. Sie war leicht verstopft. Für mich sind das immer Vorboten einer Erkältung.

Leider packt mich manchmal der Ehrgeiz. Ich wollte unbedingt am 10K Lauf teilnehmen. Solange ich kein Fieber bekomme (für mich dann doch ein NoGo), würde ich das schon schaffen, sagte ich zu mir selbst.

Ein heißes Bad am Samstag Abend und gutes Zureden, dass mein Körper mich bitte morgen nicht in Stich lassen soll, haben dann ganz gut geholfen. Obwohl ich am Sonntag morgen nach dem Aufstehen, gespürt habe, dass ich nicht wirklich total fit bin! Mein Körper kämpfte mit irgendetwas, ich sagte ihm aber, er soll den Lauf durchstehen und danach gönne ich ihm Ruhe.

Nun gut . . . jetzt läuft die Nase, mein Energie-Level ist eher niedrig und ich brauche Ruhe und Entspannung damit sich mein Körper erholen kann. Deshalb heute nur ein kurzer Spaziergang um zumindest 5000 Schritte zu erreichen.

In ein paar Tagen bin ich wieder fit.

Sorry about that cold, I know how irritating and uncomfortable it can get 🙇. You did great with the stepping to at least 5k.
Get the well needed rest and sleep 😴. Hopefully tomorrow it will have eased up a bit. Do enjoy a terrific Tuesday ahead 🎉👍 😁
