#sportstalksocial bad guy / @actifit

(Edited)

Second day of the new job complete and I must admit that I am one tired guy come 6pm when I get home. The morning alarm goes off at 6:30 and I'm out of the house an hour later for the bus. The commute is longer than at the last place and there is less distance on foot to cover which means that to get some decent exercise in during the day I'm going to need to have some energy left at the end of the day.

I'm hoping that after a week or two of this new schedule that I can find some time and energy for a workout in the evening. Today I forced myself to get down on the mat at home and struggled through the P90x ab-ripper routine. It's only a short work out but pretty hardcore for the abs and core - if you manage to make your way through it, which I did, just, with a fair number of rests.

As with most exercise, practice makes perfect (or stronger muscles) and so if I can get another session or two in by Sunday then I'll definitely be making some progress.

On another note, it seems that I have slowly become a bit like Marmite on #sportstalksocial, mostly due to my actions as @referee1. Since the elections began, and before if you knew where to look, it's not been much of a secret that I have been downvoting a fair amount of content, either via my own account or the @referee1 account. I've been called a fair few names, and been accused of being racist and sexist.

Whilst people are entitled to their opinion, it's worth mentioning that in the STS community guidelines that 'hate speech' is listed as one of the areas which are deemed unacceptable.

We do not allow hate speech within #sportstalk. No user should make any direct attacks on another user based on the means of race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender, disease or disability. We are all humans and should all behave that way.

Accusing someone of any of the above without any proof or reasoning whatsoever is for me, just as bad as doing the name-calling. It's been a long month for the referee's and for me personally, and I'd prefer not to have to deal with any more rubbish than I have to.

Cheers

Asher

Getting into a routine is the hardest thing to do, but once you are in it then you will be great. My problem is when it is still dark going to work as that is not normal and it is dark when you leave work which makes it even worse.

Yeah daylight this time of year is pretty scarce although I’m facing a huge window at work which is helping I think.

Thanks for the courage. The racist and sexist part are for sure allegations of being guilty. It's clear on the chart and graph that massive circle jerking are happening. Setting those users via autovote isn't an excuse. They have been voting the same users (abusers) time and time again.

Yeah, it has all been pretty mind numbing. It is interesting how you see a definite pattern. It's like the stages of grief or something. Disbelief -> Anger -> Defensive -> Accusatory -> Cry to Patrick -> Apologetic. It would be nice if we could just cut out the first five steps and get to the last one. I have been getting up at 4 AM this week and doing some aerobic walking. I figured I needed to start somewhere. That's awesome about the PX90. Hardcore stuff!

Great analysis into the life cycle of the accounts benched 😂

I thought you were going to say that you were waking up at 4am to deal with abuse - that would be hardcore! Cheers 😁
