Homeland approda all'ottava e ultima stagione con la testa altissima e la certezza di essere stata finora una serie eccellente e che sarà domani una delle serie da ricordare quando guarderemo indietro alla storia della tv.
La season premiere ci mostra la liberazione di Carrie Mathison e soprattutto gli effetti che la prigionia in Russia ha comportato. A differenze di altre premiere del passato questa volta Homeland accelera subito riportando immediatamente al centro dell'azione la spia più famosa degli ultimi 10 anni (Jack Bauer permettendo). Questa accelerazione insolita è forse l'unico motivo di preoccupazione rispetto alla stagione finale. Come sempre, in questi casi, la paura è che ci possa essere poco spazio per la costruzione del capitolo conclusivo.
