Today in this post I am going to review a movie named Hichki which is starring Rani Mukerji. In our society its quite common that we treat ourself superior in front partially disabled people. This is the story of a teacher who is suffering from Tourette syndrome but she is a nice teacher.

Film Story-

Naina Mathur (Rani Mukerjee) is a teacher and she is suffering from Tourette syndrome and because of this problem, it causes her to make sounds like hiccups. She has been trying to get a job for the last 5 years but no success. Her father has divorced her mother and that's why she does not have a good relationship with her father.

One day Naina gets an offer from a school where she applied multiple times and even she did her schooling form that school. Naina is inspired by the school principal Mr. Khan (Vikram). Though she joined the school staff assigned her class named 9F which is a new class section and known as where students from the lower locality are studying.
Naina understood that students of this class are misbehaving with her and not at all interested to study. Naina asks Shyamlal (school peon) about them and he told her that these students belong from nearby slum area. They are given the admission in this school to fill the quota set by the government for underprivileged kids.

Now Naina plans to teach them in an interesting way so that they show interest in the study. Initially, all the student don't take her seriously and Naina has to go through a lot of problems created by kids. She did not give up and kept trying.
After putting many efforts she gets success in convincing the kids to study. Then all the students from 9F start studying seriously and because of this school staff are feeling jealous of Naina. Shyamlal also try to supply wrong question paper to 9F students so that they fail in exam but they refused to cheat.

This was definitely not easy for Naina but you know what continuous efforts to the right direction with no self always bring a positive result.

Music

Music in this film is average and I don't remember any song that I can sing however its not that bad.
Songs are sung by Jasleen Royal in the film.

This film is directed by Siddharth Malhotra and producer is Maneesh Sharma. Story and dialogues are written by Ankur Chaudhry and even he did screenplay in the movie.

Hichki film was released in the Hindi language on 23 March 2018 and its running time is 116 minutes.
Cost of the film is 120 million INR and total box office collection is INR 2.39 billion. This film was also released in China in Oct 2018 and it was a success there.

This movie comes with a strong message that we should not underestimate or neglect anyone. Its just need a bit of support from the society and teachers and even kids from slum can do even better. Also, like Naina was insulted many times and even any school has given her teaching job in 5 years time because they think that she will not be able to teach while she is an aspiring teacher she truly proved it. The message is clearly shown that treat everyone with respect as everyone has the talent of his own interest.
