It is the same story as that animated one produced and broadcast by Disney, but now with a more updated version of the characters, other implicit technologies that make us visualize the characters in a more "real" way.

A bit about the story:

Mufasa, King of the territory in a wide and large sheet. The only purpose it has is mainly to protect the area and prepare its successor, which in this case would be Simba (son). This fact greatly annoys Skar (brother of Mufasa), who in family line would have been the one who took the position of King, but in view of Simba's existence, ASkar was relieved. In view of this, Skar sets Mufasa a trap: using Simba and his deliberate disobedience. The trap was to take Simba to the lonely and secluded gorge, then caused a stampede, leaving the puppy in the middle of all the fuss. Skar warns Mufasa about what happened, and then he rushes to save Simba, puts him to a safe place and tries to climb, but on top he was Skar and simply throws him into the gorge where he ends up dead.

Next, Skar convinces Simba that he is to blame for everything that has happened and insists that he must leave the territory and go away where no one can find him. Simba arriving to stay in the desert alone and about to end up eaten by the zamuros that surrounded the footsteps of the little puppy, just then Timón and Pumba arrive; who assume the raising of the puppy in a quiet place. After a while, Nala (Simba's friend and fiancee) appears, who wishes to return to Simba to his home and that he take his place in the Kingdom. Since Skar had destroyed everything and the hyenas had gained strength in the territory as well.

Simba is confused and refuses to return due to the shame he still has for what happened with Mufasa. Then, with the help of a counselor, he reconsiders and decides to take his place and recover the place his father loved. Upon reaching the territory, it is achieved with Skar who reveals in front of the entire pack, it was Simba's fault that the King had died. Simba and Skar fight, but history repeats itself and is hanged just like Mufasa, at which time Skar reveals the truth of what happened and that being Mufasa's brother had killed him. This fearsome revelation removes all of Simba's interior, who decides to overthrow Skar. It all ends in a fight, between the pack of lionesses and the group led by Skar, which had only hyenas. Finishing victorious Simba and his friends, subsequently restoring the territory and turning it into an area of peace and tranquility.

My opinion:

It is a Remake that has an amazing history. The story of this movie is really moving, it seems to stir many feelings and at the same time have the ability to reflect the feelings of loss of a loved one. Although Pumba is honestly nothing nice (I hate the work done by the creators in this more "real" version), since it seems not to be a careful character; I think it's one of the best remakes I've been able to see. It is not heavy, it is not loaded. It reminds me of Animal Planet hours.
