Synopsis:

Beca is a lonely girl who has endless problems with her father, is also a music lover and wants to become famous. At the same time, in her early adult stage, she is transferred to a new school and runs into that in that school there is a group of capella singers, which despite not being of her ordinary taste wants to be part of it.

The group of female singers to Capella, called the Bella; they always performed in public with the same routine; tending to be boring and predictable. That is not pleasing to Beca and she wanted to change that. Therefore, he made several musical proposals and they were fully rejected by the group leader, who was the one who did not want to leave the safe circle. A few days passed and they had to go to a local competition, where the male group from a Capella from the same school would also attend. The girls introduce themselves and the criticisms were that their routine was boring and the same as last year, all disappointed by this; but in spite of it they were of third place thus to go to the following round.

Later, in the rehearsals the girls wanted to change some things, but the leader as always did not leave. Beca felt trapped, and also confused by feelings she had developed for a boy (Jesse) of the male group of a Capella, a group called "The Treblemakers". These facts confuse and stun her a bit, since she denies what she feels, she just doesn't want to get involved. In the next round of the competition, they were disqualified. But Beca takes advantage, and changes the routine a bit suddenly. Causing an internal problem and dispersion in the group. In the same way, they do not qualify in this round and they all separate, being free of commitments with the group. Then, the unexpected happens and one of the groups is disqualified, giving Capella the opportunity to enter the final round and participate. They all communicate and meet to rehearse, but they just fight each other. At that moment, Scholarship arrives, unleashing more disorder, but then they end up happy and united. Also coming to the conclusion that routines should change if they want to be taken into account. To the new competition, they arrive with new airs and Beca is determined to tell the truth about their feelings. Super girls offer a beautiful show and Beca ends up giving Jesse a big kiss.

My opinion:

It is a film with a typical plot of teenagers and their love problems and competition symptoms. It's really not very good, but I guess it's enough for not very demanding spectators. The setting, scenes and costumes are simple, nothing extravagant that makes you love them. It is a feasible option when there is nothing more to watch on TV. However, the character called the "Fat Amy" is the one who will get some beautiful laughs. LOL.
