(ESP/ENG) Mi hijo Jairo en el Campestre Juvenil (Club de Conquistadores y Guías Mayores. IASD)

Hola estimada comunidad de Motherhood, la comunidad de padres, madres y representantes que se esfuerzan cada día en dar lo mejor por sus hijos, Dios pueda bendecirles.

El día de hoy deseo compartir con ustedes la experiencia vivida durante el periodo de carnaval por mi hijo Jairo quien asistió durante esos días feriados a un campestre juvenil del club de Conquistadores de la iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día. La disciplina y las especialidades aprendidas en este club para nuestros jóvenes son muy importantes, el conocimiento es muy amplio, pero en este caso al tratarse de un campestre en la playa fue más recreativo y la mayoría de las actividades de tipo deportivas. Mi hijo Jairo disfrutó bastante de todo lo programado, aquí les cuento algunas de sus experiencias.

Jairo, recién cumplió sus 18 años, es mi hijo menor, buen estudiante, le va bien en la universidad, es sociable, enérgico y le encanta estar en continua actividad por eso estas actividades están entre sus preferidas. Antes yo le acompañaba y las disfrutaba también, de hecho en mi juventud perteneci al club durante muchos años y me destacaba en los eventos bíblicos o de conocimiento, ahora es su turno de aprender y me siento feliz de verlo participar y destacar tanto en conocimiento como en competencias y habilidades deportivas. Aunque soy nerviosa respecto a la playa, también sé que ellos en esas actividades deben respetar los horarios de baños y hay muchas personas adultas al pendiente y sé que el ya no es un niño y sabe conducirse. De todas formas siempre lo encargo a mi sobrina(es mayor que yo)que siempre va con su esposo a estas actividades con los jóvenes y lo cuida como si fuese yo, está pendiente hasta de las chicas con quienes anda jajaja.

El campestre se realizó en la Playa Copacabana durante los días viernes 09, domingo 11, lunes 12 Y martes 13 de febrero, iban temprano en la mañana y regresaban al caer la tarde, tenian transporte, no pernotaban. Jairo faltó el día viernes pues tuvo clases en la universidad, los demás días participó activamente. Las actividades fueron variadas, devocional al comenzar, luego orden cerrado, presentación de las actividades a realizar, ejecución de las actividades y tiempo de baño y recreación.

Los jóvenes fueron colocados en equipos, quedando mi hijo en el equipo azul quienes se esforzaron en el logro de cada compentencia destacandose en algunas de ellas, tales como "Gran invento de arena" donde debian construir un objeto en relieve de una historia biblica con arena, ellos hicieron el barco y la ballena de la historia de Jonas. También en el Rally de habilidades y destrezas se destacaron logrando el 1er lugar.

En el evento de "Carro Romano y carro egipcio" les faltó rapidez en los amarres y conocimiento de los distintos tipos de nudos, pero pudieron construirlo y completar el desafio. La gincana fue uno de los eventos más dificiles pues tenía muchas estaciones.

También jugaron Kickingball, Softball, dramatizaron parabolas biblicas y realizaron otras actividades interesantes. Por supuesto el tiempo de baño y recreación era uno de los más esperados y disfrutaron mucho el mar, sus oleajes, el sol y el aire. El último día recibieron sus insentivos de acuerdo a el trabajo realizado y aunque el equipo ganador fue el equipo rojo, todos los demás equipos fueron premiados y elogiados también, el equipo azul donde estaba mi hijo recibió en la subasta muchas chucherias, galletas, hasta yo las probé pues nos trajo a casa para compartir.

El carnaval es una fiesta de la cual mis hijos y yo no participamos, gracias a Dios aunque mis hijos son jóvenes no simpatizan con estas festividades sobre todo porque han visto los excesos en los cuales caen muchos jóvenes de su edad durante esos días en perjuicio de su salud. La iglesia provee entonces este tipo de actividades que permiten aprovechar esos días festivos, sin clases, para orientar y ayudar al crecimiento fisico y mental de nuestros jóvenes. Socializan en un ambiente de camaradería cristiana y hacen amistades con sus mismos intereses que perduran en el tiempo. Algunos jóvenes que no pertenecen a nuestra iglesia también participan y se sienten muy a gusto con el ambiente que se les provee. En varias oportunidades amigos de mis hijos a asistido y les ha gustado mucho.

Mi hijo disfrutó mucho, sanamente, los días de carnaval, sin excesos perjudiciales para la salud y eso me gusta, le doy gracias a Dios por estás oportunidades de aprendizaje y esparcimiento. Una amiga me envió fotos de el, entre ellas varias parandose de cabeza en la playa jajaja, antes lo hacia seguido en casa (me asustaba,pensaba que se iba a caer), Jairo es enérgico,vivaz, inteligente, colaborador, Dios lo bendiga siempre.

La alegría de nuestros hijos, es nuestra recompensa al trabajo que día a día hacemos en favor de ellos, fortaleciendo desde pequeños enseñanzas y valores que forman el carácter y les capacita para seguir adelante en la vida adulta.

Today I want to share with you the experience lived during the carnival period by my son Jairo who attended a youth camp of the Pathfinder club of the Adventist church during those holidays. The discipline and specialties learned in this club for our young people are very important, the knowledge is very broad, but in this case since it was a picnic on the beach it was more recreational and most of the activities were sports-type. My son Jairo quite enjoyed everything programmed, here I tell you some of his experiences.

Jairo, just turned 18, is my youngest son, a good student, he is doing well at university, he is sociable, energetic and loves to be constantly active, which is why these activities are among his favorites. Before I accompanied him and enjoyed them too, in fact in my youth I belonged to the club for many years and I stood out in biblical or knowledge events, now it is his turn to learn and I feel happy to see him participate and stand out both in knowledge and in sports competitions and skills. Although I am nervous about the beach, I also know that in these activities they must respect the bathing schedules and there are many adults on the lookout and I know that he is no longer a child and he knows how to conduct himself. In any case, I always entrust it to my niece (she is older than me) who always goes with her husband to these activities with the young people and she takes care of him as if she were me, she is even attentive to the girls with whom she come on hahaha.

The picnic was held at Copacabana Beach on Friday the 9th, Sunday the 11th, Monday the 12th and Tuesday the 13th of February. They went early in the morning and returned in the evening, they had transportation, they didn't stay overnight. Jairo was absent on Friday because he had classes at the university, the other days he actively participated. The activities were varied, devotional at the beginning, then closed order, presentation of the activities to be carried out, execution of the activities and bath and recreation time.

The young people were placed in teams, leaving my son in the blue team who made an effort to achieve each competition, standing out in some of them, such as "Great Sand Invention" where they had to build an object in relief of a biblical story with sand. , they made the ship and the whale from Jonas's story. Also in the Rally of skills and abilities they stood out, achieving 1st place.

In the "Roman Chariot and Egyptian Chariot" event they lacked speed in the moorings and knowledge of the different types of knots, but they were able to build it and complete the challenge. The gymkhana was one of the most difficult events because it had many stations.

They also played Kickingball, Softball, dramatized biblical parables and did other interesting activities. Of course, bathing and recreation time was one of the most anticipated and they greatly enjoyed the sea, its waves, the sun and the air. On the last day they received their incentives according to the work done and although the winning team was the red team, all the other teams were awarded and praised as well, the blue team where my son was received many sweets, cookies, even me at the auction. I tried them because he brought us home to share.

Carnival is a party in which my children and I do not participate, thank God, although my children are young, they do not sympathize with these festivities, especially because they have seen the excesses into which many young people of their age fall during those days to the detriment of your health. The church then provides these types of activities that allow us to take advantage of those holidays, without classes, to guide and help the physical and mental growth of our young people. They socialize in an atmosphere of Christian camaraderie and make friendships with the same interests that last over time. Some young people who do not belong to our church also participate and feel very comfortable with the environment provided to them. Friends of my children have attended on several occasions and they really liked it.

My son enjoyed the carnival days very much, healthily, without excesses that were harmful to his health and I like that, I thank God for these opportunities for learning and recreation. A friend sent me photos of him, including several standing on his head on the beach hahaha, before he did it often at home (it scared me, I thought he was going to fall), Jairo is energetic, lively, intelligent, collaborative, God bless him always.

The joy of our children is our reward for the work we do every day on their behalf, strengthening from a young age teachings and values that form character and enable them to move forward in adult life.
