Happy new week everyone and welcome to monday needlework. I didn't think I would participate in #needleworkmonday initiative anytime soon and that's because I haven't had the time to do anything for myself, always going from one work project to another and my arts too.
But this time there was an emergency that demanded I make this quick tote bag for myself. I made this tote bag from the remains of Sherpa fleece fabric I used to make a dress.
I had the left over pieces with me and didn't think it would be enough to make any other type of dress but I didn't discard it.
One beautiful day I was in an urgent need of a tote bag that could contain all the things I wanted to carry with me and sadly I didn't have any at home, I remembered I had this fabric and using it for a tote bag wouldn't be such a bad idea so I quickly went to my storage to get the pieces of the fabric and drafted out the bag pattern I wanted, I used 13 inches in length and 10 inches in width.
I measured 30 inches long for the bag handle, I've shared the process below

Work Processes

This is the pieces of the Sherpa fleece fabric I had left with me.
Spreading it out, I measured 13 inches 10 inches for the bag I was gonna make.

Then I measured 30 inches long for the tote bag handle, 4 inches on fold for the width

I used a short black zip to seal the opening at the top. I should have used a creamy or white colour zipper but I didn't have it at home so I decided to use the black, afterall it wouldn't be so visible.

I joined the both sides of the bag after inputting the zipper

I folded the bag handle to meet each other then sewed at the edge of the side of the handle.

Then I attached the handle to the bag after sewing it

This is the final finishing after attaching both sides of the handles to the bag.
