I was recently at home with my children, and they were bored of playing the same game and watching TV. When they couldn't find anything else to do, my five-year-old daughter asked if I could build them a house because they were bored and wanted to have fun and put all their toys in a new house.

I thought about it and it seemed easy to make them a house, so I got to work and found some sheets, moved some furniture, found some chairs to use as temporary walls, and started building their little house. It was easy to build. I just had to secure the sheets well and tie them properly.

Honestly, I thought building that house with sheets and chairs was a bit of a chore, but when I put it together, I saw the look of excitement on my children's faces, as if I had built them a grand castle. The grand mansion of their dreams. Hehe, it was so sweet. Sometimes we think our children need big things, expensive toys, to be happy. I believe that no matter how many material things we can give our children, what matters most is giving them quality time, protecting them, and making them feel loved. The rest will come naturally.

They played for a good while in their temporary home and seemed very happy. Such innocence. Being a child is definitely the best stage of our lives. I remember events from my childhood, and I can assure you that most of them were moments I shared with my parents and siblings. These are the memories I treasure and the ones I try to build with my children every day.

I was surprised by the expressions on their faces and how happy they felt. It made me reflect that sometimes we don't need much to make our children happy, just a little imagination and to be there for them in those unique and unrepeatable moments.

Hace poco estaba con mis hijos en la casa y ya estaban aburridos de jugar el mismo juego y de ver la televisión, cuando ya no encontraron que hacer mi hija de cinco años me dice que si les puedo construir una casa porque estaban aburridos y se quieren divertir y meter todos sus juguetes en una nueva casa.

Lo pensé y me pareció sencillo hacerles su casa, así que me puse manos a la acción y busqué unas sábanas, moví unos muebles, busqué unas sillas para que me sirvieran de paredes provisionales y empecé a armarles su casita. Se me hizo fácil construirla. Solo tuve que fijar bien las sábanas y amarrarlas adecuadamente.

Sinceramente me parecía algo trivial armar esa casa con sábanas y sillas, pero al armarla, les vi la cara de emoción a mis hijos, como si les hubiera construido un gran castillo. La gran mansión de sus vidas. Jejje pareció muy tierno. A veces creemos que nuestros hijos necesitan grandes cosas, juguetes caros para ser felices, yo creo que sin importan la cantidad de cosas materiales que podamos darles a nuestros hijos, lo que más vale es brindarle tiempo de calidad, protegerlos y que se sientan amados, lo demás vendrá solo.

Estuvieron jugando un buen rato en su casa provicional y se sentían muy felices. Que inocencia. Ser niño definitivamente es la mejor etapa de nuestras vidas. Recuerdo acontecimientos de mi niñez y les puedo asegurar que en las mayoría eran momentos que compartí al lado de mis padres y hermanos. Son los recuerdos que atesoro y son los que día a día trato de construir con mis hijos.

Me sorprendió la expresión en sus rostros y lo felices que se sentían. Reflexione, que a veces no necesitamos de mucho para hacer felices a nuestros hijos, solo tener un poco de imaginación y acompañarlos en esos momentos únicos e irrepetibles.

Espero les haya gustado esta experiencia al lado de mis hijos tanto como a mí.
