Monarch Migration
My parents live outside of the city that I live in. This summer they had a really cool surprise when a roost of monarch butterflies showed up and stayed around for a couple weeks. These monarchs have left for their migration now and will fly to Mexico for the winter in order to have enough warmth. I was amazed to learn that they can fly up to 100 miles a day, so awesome! This picture is after they had gathered in a tree for the night. During the day they fluttered around fields before settling in for the night!

That would be a fun treat to have so many butterflies around for awhile.
