Hola queridos Needleworkers, feliz y maravilloso miércoles, espero su día haya sido súper productivo, si bien es cierto que los días están pasando rapidísimo, ya se nos fue Agosto pero aquí seguimos trabajando en lo que más nos gusta. 😚🤗 hace unos cuantos días fuí a comprar algunas telas y me topé con esta blonda rosa con puntos súper coqueta, me recordó a un diseño que tenía en mi teléfono y fue así que la compré por qué necesitaba hacerme ropa rosa para una iniciativa en la comunidad de #HiveRedCarpet dónde te invitan a mostrar tus prendas de este color. Así que me puse a la tarea de hacer está hermosa blusa para un outfit que tenía en mente.
Hello dear Needleworkers, happy and wonderful Wednesday, I hope your day has been super productive, although it is true that the days are passing very quickly, August is gone but here we are still working on what we love. 😚🤗 a few days ago I went to buy some fabrics and I came across this pink doily with super flirty dots, it reminded me of a design I had on my phone and so I bought it because I needed to make pink clothes for an initiative in the #HiveRedCarpet community where they invite you to show your clothes in this color. So I set myself the task of making this beautiful blouse for an outfit I had in mind.
Hacer faralao es una técnica que me encanta, principalmente para hacer ropa de niña y vestidos, pero en esta oportunidad me atreví a colocarlo en una blusa de dama, que amé como quedó, siento que se ve súper elegante y femenino. Las transparencias también está en tendencia así por qué no tener una blusa tan hermosa en nuestro clóset, y mejor si es hecha por ti misma.
Making faralao is a technique that I love, mainly to make clothes for girls and dresses, but this time I dared to put it in a lady's blouse, I loved how it turned out, I feel it looks super elegant and feminine. Transparencies are also in trend so why not have such a beautiful blouse in our closet, and better if it is made by yourself.

Paso 1 || Step 1
- Comenzamos doblando la tela y colocándola en una superficie plana, colocamos el patrón sobre la tela y lo sujetamos con alfileres, (Yo soy talla S pero utilice un patrón talla L pues está blusa tiene que quedar holgada), Ahora vamos a cortar 2 piezas (1 delantera y 1trasera), Debemos tener en cuenta el centímetro que debemos dejar para el margen de costura, también debemos respetar en doblez de la tela, todos los patrones están a la mitad.
- We start by folding the fabric and placing it on a flat surface, we place the pattern on the fabric and pin it (I am size S but use a pattern size L because this blouse has to be loose), now we will cut 2 pieces (1 front and 1 back), we must take into account the centimeter that we must leave for the seam allowance, we must also respect the fold of the fabric, all patterns are in half.
- Para cortar las mangas doble la tela, y coloqué el patrón de tal manera que pudiera cortar las dos mangas de una vez, yo le agregué al patrón 4 cm más de largo de la manga.
To cut the sleeves I folded the fabric, and placed the pattern in such a way that I could cut both sleeves at once, I added 4 cm more sleeve length to the pattern.
Paso 2 || Step 2
- Corte tiras de 10 cm de ancho para el borde de la blusa y 6 cm para el faralao de las mangas, estás tira las vamos a pasar por la máquina de coser con una puntada ancha para fruncir, y para la orilla le pasé zigzag, pero si tienes overlock puedes usarla.
- I cut 10 cm wide strips for the edge of the blouse and 6 cm for the sleeves, we are going to pass these strips through the sewing machine with a wide stitch to gather, and for the edge I zigzagged it, but if you have overlock you can use it.
Paso 3 || Step 3
- Sujeté los faralaos al borde de la manga, este paso es bastante tedioso pues hay que acomodar muy bien el faralao para que no quedé más fruncido de un lado que del otro, luego vamos a coser, yo cosí con recta y luego con zigzag en el borde para un mejor acabado.
- I fastened the faralaos to the edge of the sleeve, this step is quite tedious because you have to arrange the faralao very well so that it is not more puckered on one side than the other, then we sew, I sewed with straight and then with zigzag on the edge for a better finish.
Paso 4 || Step 4
- Proseguí colocando las mangas a la sisa de la blusa, (previamente cosí los hombros de la blusa), cosí las manga y luego enfrente los derechos de la blusa y cosí los costados.
- I continued by attaching the sleeves to the armhole of the blouse, (I previously sewed the shoulders of the blouse), sewed the sleeves and then facing the blouse right sides together and sewed the sides.
Paso 5 || Step 5
- Hacemos el mismo proceso de las mangas en el borde de la blusa, fruncí las tiras de 10cm de ancho y con alfileres la sujeté al borde de la blusa, pase costura en puntada recta y luego zigzag en la orilla.
- We do the same process of the sleeves on the edge of the blouse, I gathered the 10cm wide strips and with pins I pinned it to the edge of the blouse, sew a straight stitch and then zigzag along the edge.
Paso 6 || Step 6
- Para finalizar pase una costura en zigzag en todo el borde del cuello, intenté que quedará como una costura en overlock.
- To finish, I made a zigzag stitch along the edge of the collar, trying to make it look like an overlock stitch.
