I’ve had my work cut out for me

The last couple of days have been a lot for me so I’ll do all I can to put it all out in a few simple words. I recently complained about going through a tough mental time and possibly needing a change of environment so I took a little trip.

My first destination was my friend’s hometown. A small community in Southern Nigeria called Ikot Abasi. It was initially supposed to be a short 2-hour journey for me but it ended up being a 10-hour trip after spending 4 hours waiting at a park and 6 hours on the road due to how bad it had gotten.

I spent 4 days there, mostly indoors working and resting and then I and my friend travelled to a town called Owerri where her company was scheduled to have an event. She registered me for the event but I wasn’t able to attend due to my work engagements and my need to simply rest in the hotel room.

Although I found the time to visit an amusement park for the first time, I had to visit it alone and get on all the scary rides on my own too. I had fun but I have a slight motion sensitivity issue so I ended up feeling quite sick at the end. But in the end, I had an amazing time.

I lost track of how much I spent during the trip but I'm pretty sure it was probably almost $100 or less. The thought of how I spent it all makes me worry a little but I'll survive.

Finally, I got in a car and found my way back home. Since then I’ve more or less been stuck in bed working 3 different jobs tirelessly. The first is the foreign job that has been a little unstable but thankfully has gained some stability, the second is an e-commerce website design job and the third is a temporary webpage design job that I’m more or less done with.

I’ve had my work cut out for me these past couple of weeks and although I’ve spent a lot of money along the way, I’ve made a whole lot more and I’m on track to make even more. I’ve also been very occupied by my YouTube channel and have been trying my best to not let it suffer in the midst of my many other activities.

I love the thrill of having a lot of work to do. And not just random work, but actually productive work that’s bringing me money and experience. I’m only hopeful that by the end of the year, I’d have saved enough money to actually give myself another vacation or at least some time off to rest properly or maybe just travel again.
