I’ve had a busy last couple of days
When we talk about life having its ups and downs, I’m pessimist enough to only think about the many downs. While I know I’ve had a lot of them, I think I need to give myself credit for the way I’ve handled a lot of my ups.
The past couple of days have been something for me. Last Friday I found myself in a very tiring and frustrating situation where I began a journey which was supposed to last only 2 hours but ended up being on the road for nearly 10 hours.
It was such a frustrating situation for me because I never imagined I’d go through that but I knew it would come to an end. I found myself on the worst roads I had ever encountered while on a journey to a place I didn’t even know. It was hellish.
However, I arrived at my destination, late, but safely. After which I had to deal with my next ordeal, which was the lack of power supply and the need to work. I recently got a contract and also a brief job so I had a lot on my plate for the weekend.
Thankfully, I sorted that out as well. I got my first payment for my contract job and will be getting my payment for the other job too. So a sad and tiring weekend turned into a fruitful weekday. Providing me with a lot more money than I had initially planned on having.
I’ve had a busy last couple of days and the days ahead are only going to get a little worse until I have a downtime once again. The ups and downs. Regardless of all this, I’m excited and happy. A lot of things are finally starting to make sense and I can’t wait to see how other things unfold.
