Andy ha sido la líder por mucho tiempo de un pequeño grupo de mercenarios con el objetivo de luchar y proteger a la humanidad, ellos cargan consigo un secreto que les fue dado sin saber las razones; estos guerreros tienen el poder de la inmortalidad y se verán sacudidos luego de enterarse sobre una organización que tiene el deseo de capturarlos y adueñarse de su poder sin importar las consecuencias. Andy junto a sus compañeros tendrán que luchar y protegerse entre si, además de que tendrán que orientar y enseñar a una nueva inmortal que ha parecido despues de muchos siglos.
Andy has been the leader for a long time of a small group of mercenaries with the objective of fighting and protecting humanity, they carry with them a secret that was given to them without knowing the reasons; these warriors have the power of immortality and they will be shaken after learning about an organization that has the desire to capture them and take possession of their power regardless of the consequences. La Vieja Guardia es quizás una de mis películas favoritas de acción y fantasía, la historia nos cuenta sobre un grupo de mercenarios que al parecer son inmortales y han vivido por siglos, cada uno de ellos se van conociendo al pasar de los años y han decidió mantenerse unidos por un bien común; ellos no saben cuál es la razón de su inmortalidad, Después de muchos años aparece una nueva inmortal y ellos lucharan contra el tiempo al verse descubiertos por una organización que desea capturarlos y obtener las respuestas a este extraño suceso y usar esta inmortalidad para beneficios destructivos.
The Old Guard is perhaps one of my favorite action and fantasy movies, the story tells us about a group of mercenaries who apparently are immortal and have lived for centuries, each of them are getting to know each other over the years and have decided to stay together for a common good; they do not know the reason for their immortality, after many years a new immortal appears and they will fight against time to be discovered by an organization that wants to capture them and get the answers to this strange event and use this immortality for destructive benefits.

La trama está muy bien estructurada y es de ese tipo de historia que obtiene tu atención desde el primer minuto, tiene un ritmo frenético que llega a bajar de nivel en algunas ocasiones, pero no llega a ser molesto, La acción es muy buena y realmente la disfrutas; El punto donde muestran el pasado de Andy es donde flaquea un poco la historia y llega a confundir en algunas ocasiones.
The plot is very well structured and is the kind of story that gets your attention from the first minute, has a frenetic pace that comes to downgrade at times, but does not become annoying, The action is very good and really enjoy it; The point where they show Andy's past is where the story falters a bit and comes to confuse at times.

Me gusta mucho como incluyen a la "Nueva Inmortal" y el cómo se va adaptando a este pequeño grupo, creo que el que muestren el proceso de aprendizaje de esta chica y el cómo se debate para despedirse de sus familiares le da un plus bastante bueno a la película y me gusta mucho como su historia se entremezcla con la de estos chicos. Una de las cosas que menos me gusto es que no incluyeron los pasados del resto de inmortales, simplemente muestran el de Andy y pienso que este punto es el que falta para resaltar estos personajes que se ven un poco opacado por Andy y que además le hubiera dado un toque más profundo a la película.
I really like how they include the "New Immortal" and how she adapts to this small group, I think that showing the learning process of this girl and how she debates to say goodbye to her relatives gives a pretty good plus to the movie and I really like how her story is intermingled with the story of these guys. One of the things I liked the least is that they didn't include the pasts of the rest of the immortals, they just show Andy's and I think this is the point that is missing to highlight these characters that are a little overshadowed by Andy and that would have given a deeper touch to the film.

The character of Andy is the one that carries all the weight of the story, she is the protagonist and she is the one that shines throughout the film; Charlize Theron gives a wonderful performance and shows the level at which she is an actress and producer, The rest of the characters bring a lot to the film and you can see the connection they have especially the group of immortal warriors who are played by KiKi Layne (Nile), Luca Marinelli (Nicky), Matthias Schoenaerts (Sebastian) and Marwan Kenzari (Joe); the performances are not forced and you really connect with them and you even get some affection for the villain. I have to highlight the performances of Chiwetel Ejiofor (James) and Harry Melling (Steven), they do a good job; when I first saw their characters I thought I wouldn't like them and it was the opposite, I liked them a lot.

Es una película que no me cansaría de verla y no dudaría en recomendarla, se disfruta y entretiene bastante; El final queda abierto para una segunda película que al parecer será estrenada en el 2023 y espero que si suceda, Les dejaré el tráiler en la parte final del post y espero que le den una oportunidad, vale la pena y además Charlize Theron aparece en toda la película y eso es digno de ver. The Old Guard is not the best movie and honestly it lacks a lot to be, but personally I loved it and it became one of my favorites; it does not top the top, but it is not left out either. It is a movie that I would not get tired of watching and I would not hesitate to recommend it, it is enjoyable and entertaining enough; The end is open for a second film that apparently will be released in 2023 and I hope it happens, I will leave the trailer at the end of the post and I hope you give it a chance, it is worth it and also Charlize Theron appears throughout the film and that is worth seeing. My final Score is give.

It is a movie that I would not get tired of watching and I would not hesitate to recommend it, it is enjoyable and entertaining enough; The end is open for a second film that apparently will be released in 2023 and I hope it happens, I will leave the trailer at the end of the post and I hope you give it a chance, it is worth it and also Charlize Theron appears throughout the film and that is worth seeing. My final Score is give.

La Vieja Guardia no es la mejor película y sinceramente le falta mucho para serlo, pero en lo personal a mí me encanto y se convirtió en una de mis favoritas; no encabeza el top, pero tampoco queda fuera. Es una película que no me cansaría de verla y no dudaría en recomendarla, se disfruta y entretiene bastante; El final queda abierto para una segunda película que al parecer será estrenada en el 2023 y espero que si suceda, Les dejaré el tráiler en la parte final del post y espero que le den una oportunidad, vale la pena y además Charlize Theron aparece en toda la película y eso es digno de ver. Mi Puntuación final es dé.
The Old Guard is not the best movie and honestly it lacks a lot to be, but personally I loved it and it became one of my favorites; it does not top the top, but it is not left out either. Recuerdo cuando salió esta película, estaba emocionada por verla, pero la deje de ver por algo que no me gusto, aunque sinceramente siempre pensé en que seria una buena película, pero tendría que darle la oportunidad nuevamente para saber solamente como termina. Y sin duda el personaje de Charlize es poderoso como mujer, me gusto mucho el poder que le dieron a su personaje.
Dale una segunda oportunidad, quizás termine gustándote. La actuación de Charlize es lo mejor de esta película, se nota el nivel de esta actriz. Muchas Gracias por leer la reseña!!
Tuve que buscar una reseña que hice de este film hace mas de dos años para recordar varias cosas; primero que Charlie Theron es una gran estrella de acción, su personaje es muy bueno y es como la unión de Aeon Flux y Furiosa; segundo es que este es un film muy entretenido con alguna que otra escenas de acción que son destacables y que porque tienen buenos personajes, no tanto el villano de turno, pero si los demás; l otro era que potencialmente tenia todo para ser una franquicia, por lo menos una secuela y no recuerdo si el año que viene será estrenada, pero creo que se esta filmando.
Creo que ya esta confirmada para estrenarse en algún punto del 2023, no se si se esta filmando ya que Charlize estaba con la peli de La escuela del bien y del mal🤔 Muchas gracias por leer la reseña😊
No se donde estaba cuando se estreno esta película porque no la recuerdo. Me encanta la mezcla entre fantasía y realidad, aunque seria más como ciencia ficción, me encanta ese toque. Me hizo acordar un poco a la película de los Eternos, por el tema de la inmortalidad y de que ellos se saben reconocer entre el resto de humanos. Suena que es entretenida. Me recordo mucho a una serie de warner llamada forever que era el mismo tema, de un hombre que no podia morir, aunque esta pelicula abarma mas cosaas interesantes, gracias por compartir
