Anteriormente mi familia vivía casi toda en ek campo, era mi costumbre viajar allí para celebrar con ellos la navidad, somos una familia numerosa de 10 hermanos y es por eso que se vonvertia en una gran celebración, hacías intercambio de regalos y era muy emocionante guardar el secreto del nombre que de la persona que te había tocado en el papel de selección secreto, hubo un tiempo en que en ese campo no había servicio de luz eléctrica así que con velas y a veces plantas eléctricas que funcionaban con gasoil, se celebraba la navidad, la alegría era la misma, mi familia cuando se une comienza a hablar con un volumen muy alto de voz y todos al mismo tiempo, somos este tipo de familia, en aquellos años no eran común tener una cámara fotográfica además por no haber electricidad no se tomaban fotos, pero esos recuerdos tienen una imagen muy clara en mi mente.

Luego que murió mi mamá era un poco triste regresar a ver si familia en el campo pero lo continué haciendo, después de unos años ellos se mudaron a la ciudad, comencé a pasar navidad con ellos en la casa de mi papá, luego que mis hijas crecieron y tienen hijos la pasó o en casa de mi hija mayor o en mi casa con mi otra hija y mi nieto, viajar en Navidad solo por placer nunca ha sido mi objetivo, siempre estoy donde este mi familia.

Mi comida favorita en Navidad son las hallacas y no es por presumir pero me he convertido en experta en el tema, esto se lo debo a la práctica es decir, ya son muchos años haciendo este elaborado plato cada diciembre y es por eso que incluso en los años de crisis más fuerte cuando en mi casa no hacía Hallacas me invitaban a casa de mis hermanas para ayudar en la elaboración de estas.

Siento que este año subí un escalón más más la preparación de Hallacas y es que por primera vez hice tres tipos diferentes de Hallacas veganas para hacer feliz a mi hija que no come carnes y por eso ella no comida hallacas, de las tradicionales, publiqué las tres recetas veganas en Hive y obtuve muy buenos comentarios que me hicieron feliz. La receta común es un guiso de carne dentro de masa de maíz envuelto con hojas de plátano, requiere muchos pasos previos y gran variedad de ingredientes, yo lo expliqué detalladamente pero de forma sencilla, pero en general las familias siempre se reúnen en torno a la elaboración de este plato porque dividen las tareas con respecto al número de miembros.

Hello @yole. To be the expert at making Hallacas is awesome and undoubtedly makes your family proud. After reading all about the many ingredients, including various meats that go into creating the Hallaca, it was nice to know that you created a vegan version for your daughter.

A mi tampoco me gustan las hallacas tradicionales jaja, pero en lugar de hacer variantes vegetarianas, dimos la vuelta a otros platos porque nunca hubo la tradición de hacer hallacas en mi familia...
Se verdad ahora pasarla en familia es lo más importante, en los tiempos que corren, familia, amigos cercanos, son las personas las que hacen la celebración.
