Greetings, I tell you that lately my daughter and I have not been feeling very well in the stomach, we attribute it to the intake of many pills at the same time and other medications we took a few weeks ago due to Covid, so to improve the intestinal flora there is nothing better than yogurt, but this is very expensive in my country, the amount compared to the price is not worth it, so for the first time I dared to make homemade yogurt and also made a pineapple candy to go with it.
Many people will be thinking that how is it that homemade yogurt is made with yogurt, but is that to make yogurt from scratch is used a special type of ferment that is not available everywhere, so the most practical way is to buy a glass of firm natural yogurt and use it to create homemade yogurt, because it contains the bacteria needed for its creation, as my daughter said, yogurt is contagious, that is, that a little yogurt can turn milk into more yogurt, here I tell you how to do it.

1 litro de gua
11 cucharadas de leche en polvo
15 gramos de yogurt natural firme

1 piña mediana pelada
1 taza de azúcar
1/2 taza de agua

11 tablespoons of powdered milk
15 grams of firm natural yogurt

1 medium pineapple, peeled
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

Place the water in a pot and heat only until it is hot (do not boil) add the milk, the package said that 10 tablespoons is enough but as I like more flavor I added 11 tablespoons, dissolve the milk with a hand mixer until there are no lumps.
If in the process the milk has cooled a little, return the pot to the heat for an instant until it is hot again. Add the yogurt and stir until it is completely dissolved.
Pack them in glass containers, cover them with plastic wrap, place them in a place where the heat is kept away from light, I additionally wrapped them in a black plastic bag and put them in the microwave. Let the fermentation take place for at least 12 hours, I advise to do it from one day to the other, when it is ready you can put it in the refrigerator so that it takes firmness with the cold.

With a knife cut the pineapple into slices and then into small squares, if the pineapple is very ripe there is no problem to leave the core of the pineapple.
In a pot place the half cup of water, the pineapple and add the cup of sugar, it is not necessary so much water because the pineapple will release its juice. The cooking time may vary according to the ripeness of the pineapple but in my case it took 30 minutes.
It must be taken into account that the best option for the preservation of these types of foods are glass containers, but first they must be sterilized with hot water, that is, by boiling them for a while, including the lid. Then the candy is hot-packed, covered and placed upside down so that it is vacuum-sealed.
