Broken Smile no More

Hello dear friends, It's been stressful here in our country lately that I had to uninstall Facebook so that I will be at peace. After the elections last May 9, 2022, everyone has their own opinion on how did it happen that president-elect Ferdinand Marcos Junior won. many have expressed their sadness snd whatsoever they felt about their losing candidate but as for me, I rejoiced at the news.
So here I am all smiles. I had broken one of my teeth when I was in high school and the second was broken because I lacked calcium supplements intake during my third pregnancy. All of a sudden my tooth broke, and I was not able to go to the dentist due to financial reasons. I had the chances but as a wife and a mother, I prioritized spending my money on those things that I see would do good for my children's future needs.

Last March, my general manager noticed my broken tooth and said that he would sponsor me for the tooth extraction and dentures. I thought at first that he was only joking around but he said while many of my co-workers are listening and he did follow up with me if I had already found a dentist to work with.
I did find and informed him about the bills and when I went to the dentist, he sent me the money right away.

I used to take pictures with a smile like this once; being too shy to show that I lacked front teeth. it's had lessened my self-confidence, big time.

This is the real me: people may not like seeing me, and I myself do not lirk to see my picture but this is the real me. I have flaws, impurities, and imperfections but all those made me the real me. I got my tooth pulled out on March 27th.

May first when my husband and I went back to the dentist for the fitting but we came late and the dental clinic is already closed. On Monday, May 2nd, I was asked by my husband to go to the barangay hall at two in the afternoon so after the transaction, I went to the dentist and I had a successful transaction.

The waiting area: not so big enough but patients are fast-moving because the mother and son are both dentists: they got a very large television to entertain guests.

While sitting on the sofa, a huge mirror behind me reflects the decors on the ceiling.

A few days later, the dentist texted me that my dentures is ready so we went there on a Sunday at 10 in the morning. The clinic was on the second floor and the husband called our attention and asked if we had an appointment;

The clinic was closed but the good thing is that the building was owned by the dentist and they live in it, just on the back portion of the building.

Not long after, the clinic was opened by her husband from behind and this little fella greeted us. He licked my husband's hands while he sat beside him, so I took pictures of them, too bad we forgot to ask what his name is. and she gave me my dentures.

We had a little chat about oral health; she gave us advice on what to do and bid goodbye. The dentures are not like what I expected them to be but my husband said that it looks good on me. and here is our first selfie together.

My silly husband showed his teeth with his all-out smile. I too smiled a good smile that says broken smile no more!
