This is how my day became something special. The butterfly

Like any other day, I was walking in a hurry. Thinking about those everyday things that we sometimes devote more mental energy to than we would like.

What ingredient do I have to buy before I get home to cook lunch?... Do not forget to take the book of notes when leaving home... On the way to work I would have to stop at a hardware store to buy some nails...

With my mind on a thousand things, I was just walking and all of a sudden, I had to stop at a corner to cross the street.

I looked down without much sense and there I discovered it. That little wonder.

A beautiful butterfly, perched on the grass, oblivious to the bustle of the city, immune to the indifference of passersby.

I immediately flew with her.

Every time I see them I am filled with love, and my imagination goes high above their delicate wings.

They’re definitely flying cocoons filled with magic and color.

This butterfly I had heard her call "four eyes" so, without delay, I took my phone and took some pictures of it.

At that moment, a man passed me and said, "That’s a peacock," I, with that name, had not heard it.

That comment triggered my curiosity and, researching, I discovered that it is a junonia and that there are many species of it, because it is present in almost all continents.

And no wonder it bears that name in honor of the Roman goddess Juno. In ancient times, butterflies were thought to be the way certain mythological gods were made present.

Así se transformó mi día en algo especial. La mariposa.

Como un día cualquiera, iba caminando con ritmo apresurado. Pensando en esas cosas cotidianas a las que a veces dedicamos más energía mental de la que nos gustaría.

Qué ingrediente tengo que comprar antes de llegar a casa para poder cocinar el almuerzo?... No olvidar llevarme el libro de notas cuando salga de casa... De camino al trabajo tendría que parar en una ferretería para comprar unos clavos...

Con mi mente en mil cosas, simplemente caminaba y de pronto, tuve que parar en una esquina para cruzar la calle.

Bajé la mirada sin mucho sentido y allí la descubrí. Esa pequeñita maravilla.

Una hermosa mariposa, posada sobre el pasto, ajena al bullicio citadino, inmune a la indiferencia de los transeúntes.

De inmediato volé con ella.

Cada vez que las veo me lleno de amor, y mi imaginación se va muy alto sobre sus delicadas alas.

Sin duda, son unos capullos voladores repletos de magia y color.

Esta mariposa yo la había escuchado llamar "cuatro ojos" así que, sin demora, saqué mi teléfono y le tomé algunas fotos.

En ese momento, un señor pasó a mi lado y me dijo: "esa es una pavo real", yo, con ese nombre, no la había escuchado.

Ese comentario activó mi curiosidad y, investigando, descubrí que es una junonia y que de ella hay muchas especies, porque está presente en casi todos los continentes.

Y no es de extrañar que lleve ese nombre en honor a la diosa romana Juno. En la antigüedad, se pensaba que las mariposas era la forma en que se hacían presentes ciertos dioses mitológicos.

Fue así como un día cualquiera se convirtió en un día de aventura y nuevos conocimientos.
