Regreso luego del terremoto | Return after earthquake
Debo confesar que luego del terremoto del 24 de junio, no he encontrado la disposición a crear contenido, para mi labor musical, ni siquiera en el aspecto de la programación.
Apartando el hecho de que las conexiones a internet -que de por sí quedaron malas luego del bombardeo que hizo Estados Unidos a mi país y que incluyó volar las antenas repetidoras que están al lado de mi casa- se han visto afectadas por la ruptura de uno de los principales cables de fibra óptica que comunica a nuestro país... Apartando eso (que no es poco), me tiene muy afectado ver lo que está pasando Palestina, donde estamos viviendo un crimen igual o peor al perpetrado por los nazis en tiempos de Hitler y que lo más que podemos ver en contra de eso son algunas "denuncias", que se convierten casi en lamentos, mientras no hacemos nada.
I must confess that after the earthquake on June 24, I haven't found the inclination to create content for my musical work, not even in terms of programming.
Setting aside the fact that internet connections—which were already bad after the United States' bombing of my country, which included blowing up the repeater antennas next to my house—have been affected by the break in one of the main fiber optic cables connecting our country... Setting that aside (which is no small thing), I am deeply affected by watching what is happening in Palestine, where we are witnessing a crime equal to or worse than the one perpetrated by the Nazis in Hitler's time, and the most we see against it are a few "denunciations" that turn almost into laments, while we do nothing.

Los destrozos que dejó el doblete sísmico en Caracas no son nada en comparación con los del estado La Guaira. Sin embargo, tenerlos aquí, frente a nosotros, amplía más la percepción de lo terrible que se debe haber vivido en nuestro litoral.
Cada historia, tanto de Caracas como de La Guaira y del resto del país, nos llega de manera mucho más directa al ver las fracturas en las paredes, las columnas rotas; al ver los vacíos que dejaron los edificios que cayeron.
The damage left by the seismic double event in Caracas is nothing compared to that in La Guaira state. However, seeing it here, right in front of us, deepens our perception of how terrible it must have been along our coast.
Every story, whether from Caracas, La Guaira, or the rest of the country, hits us much more directly when we see the fractures in the walls, the broken columns, and the empty spaces left behind by the buildings that collapsed.

Sé que nos vamos a levantar, sé que saldremos adelante, pues mantengo la fe en la gente y en que el bien se impondrá tarde o temprano. Pero también es necesario a veces detenerse para respirar profundo, para desintoxicarse de tanta basura digital que nos entregan las redes sociales y volver a enfocarnos en lo positivo, en la confianza, en el optimismo. ¡Es urgente y necesario!
I know we will rise again, I know we will push forward, because I keep my faith in the people and in the belief that good will prevail sooner or later. But it is also necessary at times to stop and take a deep breath, to detox from all the digital trash delivered by social media, and to refocus on the positive, on trust, on optimism. It is urgent and necessary!
En días pasados me tocó ir a la zona de Chacao, pasando por Los Palos Grandes, que fue una de las más afectadas de Caracas. Allí pude ver el espacio que dejó el edificio Obelisco, el cual se desplomó íntegramente, y del cual ya recogieron todos los escombros. Pude ver los escasos escombros que aún quedaban del edificio Petunia, que fue la mayor catástrofe en Caracas, por tratarse de una torre de 15 pisos que albergaba 27 apartamentos.
Los daños se pueden apreciar a lo largo de todas las calles y avenidas de la zona.
In recent days I had to go to the Chacao area, passing through Los Palos Grandes, which was one of the most affected parts of Caracas. There I could see the space left behind by the Obelisco building, which completely collapsed, and from which all the rubble has already been cleared. I could see the few remaining pieces of debris from the Petunia building, which was the greatest catastrophe in Caracas, as it was a 15-story tower housing 27 apartments.
The damage can be seen all along the streets and avenues of the area.

Los venezolanos hemos demostrado en infinidad de ocasiones que sabemos y podemos salir adelante. ¡También esta vez lo haremos!
Quiero agradecer a todo el mundo que ha puesto su grano de arena para volver a reconstruirnos. Ya va siendo el momento de enjugar las lágrimas y empezar a devolverles la sonrisa a nuestros niños... y a los no tan niños.
