Thank you Lady? @ykdesign and I am glad that you appreciated the post.
I have never gotten myself an editing program and I post the pictures as I see them.

But I have visited your blog and seen what you did with the big moon behind that girl.
Really magnificent.

My friend also uses Photoshop and I am tagging him here to go and look at your blog.
He is a stubborn Austrian mountain goat, but he has a good heart.
@johannpiber

Blessings also to you.

Yep, I use Photoshop, but I make very seldom composites, and No, I'm not stubborn - I'm just normal ... to me it's normal 🤪

Yep, I have seen the photos and I was impressed - it's just that I don't make such composites often.

I would really like to be able to make such composites with my hundreds of moon photos, but I know nothing about editing and best that I leave it alone.
A guy taught me 3 weeks ago how to do a special setting on my camera and as it was a process, I wrote it all step by step.
Guess what? I have forgotten how to do it and I cannot find the place where I wrote it down🤣
Yes I laugh, but this is an honest truth and I am only laughing at myself.

Cheers and thanks.

Nowadays Photoshop is able to do so many more things, just as making such composites is much easier than years ago. There are many functions which I never will use.
My camera has also functions I don't know and I will have to look in the manual if I ever should need one.

I also write my own short manuals when I learn something new, just as I wrote one for our new security system in the office. I don't need the manual anymore, but colleagues should be able to work when I'm not there.

I don't laugh at you because such happened to me before too 😂

Oh yes, everything nowadays comes with many unnecessary instructions and add other things.
Photoshop will have many pitfalls for me, as I saw a friend working in it and it was click here, do that, then click there and adjust this, then change something else and then continue to do that and that and this and then that and whatever. he lost me after the first few click hahaha.

As far as I am concerned about my camera, they can only leave me with the shooting focus adjustments and the zoom.
All of the other settings they can delete, or they can sell it to somebody else that needs them 🤣

Well I hope that you remember where you put the manual Hannes 🤣
Best would be to give that manual to somebody else, as then when they lose it, they can't blame you🤣

Cheers and thanks.

They sell the cameras with all these options because people will buy them the more things the camera can do. I don't need the movie functions and I also don't need many other functions, so I don't know how to use them, and it doesn't matter 😁

I always download a digital copy of the manual and if I accidently delete it, I can download it again, The paper manual stays unopened in the package 😉

What a waste and I wish that they would make simple quality cameras.

That sounds very good, lets just hope that you do not have a power cut when you want to urgently use the manual 🤣🤣🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Most people want to have all that's possible, even if they don't need the functions.

In such a case I have a flashlight to search for the package of the device where I have the printed manual 😂

Hahaha, it is the same as driving a Ferrari instead of a VW my friend, both can get you to same place, but the one is just filled with trinkets, bells and whistles and the other is basic wagon 🤣

Hahaha, let's hope that it never happens and if it does, that the batteries of your flashlight is not flat 🤣🤣🤣

Happened to us, as the power cut and I told Marian to turn the lamp on. She forgot to charge it and it was flat, so we had to make do with a candle 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

My flashlight does not use normal batteries - it's a flashlight with a crank to charge the battery 🤣

Hahaha, very clever and then you are organized my friend, as long as you can find the flashlight in the dark. Maybe your wife used it long ago and put it somewhere else 🤣

Hahaha, I am spirit led my brother and perhaps it was a warning for you as you might need the flashlight in a hurry 🤣

The doctor just called me now and he is very happy with the results of the blood tests that he did on me this morning. So it seems that my lack of iron problem was sorted out with the transfusion that they did. Now it's only my knee to worry about 🙏

Cheers and thanks.

I still haven't found that flashlight 😁

These are great news, my friend, and now I hope that the knee problem will be sorted out soon too 🤞

Hahaha, I don't think that you have to worry, as you guys don't get power black outs 🙏

Somehow I think that we will get the knee sorted, but it will take some time and I wait for God to open the way.

Cheers and thanks.

A saying goes like "the devil never sleeps", so we are preparing our main departments and police stations to stay functionable during a blackout.

You have found ways to sort out much bigger things than such a little knee.

Oh, now I think that is a wise decision Hannes.
In all truth one can never be careful enough, as we know that anything can happen at any time.
So best to stay prepared.

Such a little knee is the most annoying thing that I know. I woke up at 3am and my leg was screaming at me. Last night we walked for more than a kilometer on the beach, on the soft sand for me to find the ideal spot to take the sunset photos. My leg didn't like it at all 😥
You know what I will say here 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Yep, even if a blackout happens the police should stay operable.

The smallest things can cause the biggest problems ... such is life, but I hope that you'll soon find a solution.

Glad that you think that way as not many do and then they cry when it happens.

Oh yes, the smallest things can create havoc when they break down, such as in the case of the nuclear power station and my knee 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Correct, but as said I hope you can sort it out, and that they know what to do with the nuclear power station.

God is in charge of my life and His mercy will see me through.

As far as the nuclear station goes, I read an article today that stated that the nuclear power station will be shut down in February next year for some parts to be replaced. It said that we will be in even deeper trouble as there will be less power on the grid.

Cheers and thanks.

That means from February on you will have even more power cuts? Man, that doesn't sound good. Maybe you should install a hidden power cable to the solar panels of the lady you told me in the other comment 😉

We will have to wait and see how it works out Hannes. I am hoping for some sort of miracle, such as some international investors giving us a lot of money to build an entire new electrical generation system. One can never know, but we always have hope.

Now you know that I appreciate your advice, but I will never do that 🤣
Although I know some people that will 😘

Cheers and thanks.

I hope that you will get your miracle, my friend.

Well, if you see it right you wouldn't even steal anything because solar power is free, isn't it? But yes, you are right and of course I was only joking 😉

I am sure that I will get it Hannes and thank you.

I don't think that it will be free for much longer over here, as I am sure that the taxman will start a tax payment sooner or later.
In the meantime our electrical prices have jumped through the roof and they will continue to increase.

Cheers and thanks.

And yes I know that you were only joking 🤣

So they would measure the sunshine and let you pay for it ... of course there will be taxes for that and I think they already have something like that here, but I don't know.

I wonder how long they can increase the prices until nobody will be able to pay them anymore, and I wonder what will happen then.

I don't know what they will measure for the people to pay for their own services Hannes.
They already paid the tax on the purchase of the panels and other stuff, so I just cannot see why they should pay tax for their own electricity generation.

If nobody can pay them then the country will be declared as a failed state. Everyone will withdraw their investments and services will all be cancelled. A very sad state for a broke country to find itself in.

We can only pray that it will not happen here.

Cheers and thanks.

The state will always find reasons to get money. Tax laws have been quite easy and understandable here when I was at school, but during the years these laws have become a jungle impossible to walk through.

Hahaha, sorry that I laugh at your reply Hannes, as you are so right that it is funny.
Over here you need a tax lawyer to get you past the pitfalls in the tax return forms. One mistake and the screw you and they try to make it most difficult to claim money back from expenses.

I told you that now they are making new laws to tax those that have crypto and it is illegal to send crypto out of the country. They want to keep it all.
At first a few years ago they said that crypto is not not money, but now they say that crypto is money and so they can tax it.
You know what I will say here 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Well, I wonder how they will stop crypto money to leave the country. And I wonder how they will set the tax - pay in Rand or in the crypto currency? And I wonder how they will know where, which and how much crypto one has.
They can tax the crypto which I change to Euros, of course, because it's an extra income, but they can't ask for anything as long as it's still crypto that could be worth a lot today, but nothing tomorrow.

But it is as you say "such is life" :)

Well they have already started with regulations for the 3 exchanges in the country and everything that comes in and changed into Rands are taxed. The exchanges also may not send any crypto out of the country. A new law states that they van trace any crypto transactions that take place of any citizen.
One has to declare all crypto holdings to to the Taxman.

I am sure that they are going to invent many more laws, as the Taxman is determined to take a slice from everyone. But as happened in Chine the people will find other ways to deal with their crypto assets.

Cheers and thanks.

I thought so, they can only tax crypto that's exchanged into "real" money.
Of course, the people will find other ways. One day you'll be able to pay your goods or other things at Amazon or in other online shops in crypto currency. I can have my wallet anywhere in the world - how can a state control this? I know there will be ways to do it, but I think the crypto people will always be one step ahead.

Yes you are right and I agree Hannes, the sooner that all of the online shops open to crypto, the government will load a tax on purchased goods that were acquired with crypto.

If you have your wallet anywhere in the world you will still have to do transactions out of it and the online shops will have to send a record of transactions to the tax man in the particular country where you have you have your wallet.

Over here the Taxman now have ex-crypto developers as advisors and so they are going to fight for their slice of the pie.
In our case I have good news, as donations to a charity even in crypto is tax free. All of our crypto that I will take out some day will be transferred directly into Papillon.

Cheers and thanks.

Right, the governments will always find a way to get the money from others. They get monthly tax from our salary and if we invest the salary they get money from our profits and if we re-invest our profits they will get money from the profits we get from these investions...

Donations to charity organisations are tax free here too, you even get money from the tax office back if you donate to defined organisations here.

Oh yeah and when you die they get tax on the service, then they get tax on the coffin and then they get tax on the grave. When you put a headstone on the grave, the even get tax on that.
After your death they get tax on your estate and if you had investments they get tax on that.
In the case of an executer that handles your will distributions they get tax on that and every recipient of cash is minus the tax.
They say that it's very expensive to die and that's why I am hanging on to life 🤣🤣🤣

Oh yes, we have the same system and donations to Papillon are tax deductible.
For local donations and I don't know if it applies to international donations and I think the donors can then claim the amounts in their own countries.

Cheers and thanks.

That's all true, but you also can get burned and buy a place under a tree in a special forest. This costs a lot too, but only once. I hope that when I will die some time in the future that it will be allowed to scatter the ashes in the wind ... for free of course, and maybe burn me at home in the stove, also for free 😂

Right, it is very expensive to die, that's why many people have an insurance that pays all costs when you die. This insurance costs quite some money too, of course :)))

I don't know more about these donation taxes etc but I don't think we can donate international and get money back from the tax office.

Hahaha, so you want to be burned in a stove at home.
I think that we should invite some ghosts and rather burn you outside in the yard where we can make a bonfire 🤣

Nope, I have burned my fingers a few times with insurance companies and now I am allergic to them.

I also don't know but there is a guy from the USA that donate to Papillon on our PayPal account.
A small amount $100 every month and I don't think that he claims it back.

Cheers and thanks.

Yep, if possible my family shouldn't have to spend money just to get rid of a dead body - a bonfire would also be okay. then the burning might even make sense because they can have sausages and marshmellows and maybe some !BEER 🤣

They are not there to help the people, they are there to make money for their investors.

That's a very generous guy. I have no idea about the tax laws in the US.

Yes and that is why I rather stay away my friend. We do have car insurance though and we don't have much furniture that needs insurance, so if it gets stolen we will simply replace it.

Yes he is indeed a generous guy methinks.

Cheers and thanks.
