Hive Open Mic Week #160 | Fraternity | Chiquitita - ABBA (Cover) by @yisusth [ENG/SPA]

Once again, I am happy to participate in the Hive Open Mic in Week #160, grateful to our friend and featured artist @guitarmcy for the theme. When we talk about Fraternity, other concepts and values such as tolerance, respect, solidarity, equal rights and dignity come to mind. I think that the first emotional bond and trust that one has is the family. There one learns the principle of brotherly kindness. Then, one opens the circle with their neighbors, and with the community. People always seek to associate to achieve a common goal. In that union a feeling of love and empathy is born. There are many examples of fraternity, however, I want to share my experience associating with people who share the same principles and things we like. Since I was a child I participated in bands and musical orchestras and over time an atmosphere of camaraderie and brotherhood was forged. There I learned to cultivate values, to work as a team and to serve others. Those are the blessings of the fraternity.

Una vez más me siento feliz de participar en el Hive Open Mic en la Semana #160, agradecido a nuestro amigo y artista destacado @guitarmcy por la temática. Cuando hablamos de Fraternidad, me viene a la mente otros conceptos y valores como la tolerancia, el respeto, la solidaridad, la igualdad de derechos y la dignidad. Pienso que el primer vínculo emocional y de confianza que uno tiene es la familia. Allí uno aprende el principio de la bondad fraternal. Luego, uno va abriendo el círculo con sus vecinos, y con la comunidad. Las personas siempre buscan asociarse para lograr un objetivo en común. En esa unión nace un sentimiento de amor, y de empatía. Hay muchos ejemplos de fraternidad, sin embargo, quiero compartir mi experiencia al asociarme con personas que compartimos los mismos principios y cosas que nos gustan. Desde niño participé en bandas y orquestas musicales y con el tiempo se forjó un ambiente de camaradería, y hermandad. Allí aprendí a cultivar valores, a trabajar en equipo y a servir a otros. Esas son las bendiciones de la fraternidad.

Today, I bring you my interpretation with the trumpet of «Chiquitita» by the Swedish Group ABBA, this was composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, there is even a Spanish version that I enjoyed a lot as a child written by Mary and Buddy McCluskey. The lyrics have a very nice message, which I consider to be one of the purposes of a fraternity, such as providing comfort and encouragement in difficult times. At home we enjoyed listening to ABBA songs in both Spanish and English. This theme, they donated the royalties to UNICEF, a beautiful gesture towards children who are in vulnerable situations. In the world it is necessary to be more empathetic for what other people experience. The ideals of humanity that were sustained in the French Revolution remain in force "Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity". We must continue fighting for a fairer and more humane world.

Hoy les traigo mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Chiquitita» del Grupo Sueco ABBA, esta fue compuesta por Benny Andersson y Björn Ulvaeus, incluso hay una versión en español que disfrute mucho de niño escrito por Mary y Buddy McCluskey. La letra tiene un mensaje muy bonito, que considero es uno de los propósitos de una fraternidad, como lo son brindar consuelo y ánimo en momentos difíciles. En casa disfrutábamos escuchar las canciones de ABBA tanto en español como en Inglés. Este tema, ellos donaron las regalías a UNICEF, un hermoso gesto hacia los niños que están en situaciones de vulnerabilidad. En el mundo hace falta ser más empático por lo que viven otras personas. Los ideales de la humanidad que se sostuvieron en la Revolución francesa se mantienen vigentes "Libertad, Igualdad, y Fraternidad". Hay que seguir luchando por un mundo más justo y más humano.
