I'll Follow The Sun - The Beatles ☀️ (Cover) by @yisusth [ENG/SPA]

Happy start to the week to the entire #Music community and all content creators. Today I share with you my trumpet interpretation of "I'll Follow the Sun", a folk rock song by the Liverpool quartet, The Beatles. It is a simple, melancholic and powerful ballad composed by Paul McCartney and you can find it on the album "Beatles For Sale" from 1964. This piece of music is in the key of C Major, although in my case it is in D Major, a key above. I love its relaxed rhythm, with a slow tempo and a constant base marked by drums and bass. In the original song, the voices of John Lennon and Paul McCartney complement each other in vocal harmonies, creating a warm and melancholic atmosphere. That's why I recorded a second voice and added them to some parts of the song. I hope it turned out well, I'm not very skilled when it comes to editing videos, but I love learning. The lyrics talk about a man who feels unappreciated by his partner and threatens to abandon her if he does not change her attitude. Although I have also read that it can be a metaphor for moving forward in life, leaving behind situations or relationships that no longer contribute to personal happiness.

Feliz comienzo de semana a toda la comunidad de #Music y a todos los creadores de contenido. Hoy les comparto mi interpretación con la trompeta de «I'll Follow the Sun», una canción de género folk rock del cuarteto de Liverpool, The Beatles. Es una balada sencilla, melancólica y poderosa compuesta por Paul McCartney y pueden encontrarla en el álbum "Beatles For Sale" de 1964. Esta pieza musical se encuentra en la tonalidad de C Mayor, aunque en mi caso se encuentra en D Mayor, un tono por encima. Me encanta su ritmo relajado, con un tempo lento y una base constante marcada por la batería y el bajo. En la canción original, las voces de John Lennon y Paul McCartney se complementan en las armonías vocales, creando un ambiente cálido y melancólico. Es por eso por lo que grabé una segunda voz y se las agregué en algunas partes de la canción. Espero que haya quedado bien, no soy muy diestro a la hora de editar videos, pero me encanta aprender. La letra habla sobre un hombre que se siente poco apreciado por su pareja y amenaza con abandonarla si no cambia su actitud. Aunque también he leído que puede ser una metáfora de seguir adelante en la vida, dejando atrás las situaciones o relaciones que ya no contribuyen a la felicidad personal.

When I read the title of this song, I think of light, undoubtedly very necessary these days. Imagine how valued light must be in some places in the world and you can especially enjoy it for a few months of the year. Light symbolizes many things, such as hope, happiness, purity and clarity. God is Light and Truth; Darkness represents the opposite of light. When I was studying at the University I remember that one of the titles or synonyms that were used to refer to it was “The House that conquers the shadows.” Knowledge is light that overcomes the darkness of life. Simón Bolívar said: "Morals and lights are our first needs." I believe that every day one must strive to seek the light and the knowledge necessary to walk in the darkness of life.

Cuando leo el título de esta canción, pienso en la luz, sin duda muy necesaria en estos días. Imagínense lo valorada que debe ser la luz en algunos lugares del mundo y en especial pueden disfrutar de ella pocos meses del año. La luz simboliza muchas cosas, como la esperanza, la felicidad, la pureza y la claridad. Dios es Luz y Verdad; la oscuridad representa el opuesto a la luz. Cuando estudiaba en la Universidad recuerdo que uno de los títulos o sinónimos que se usaban para referirse a ella era “La Casa que vence las sombras”. El conocimiento es luz que vence las penumbras de la vida. Simón Bolívar dijo: "Moral y luces son nuestras primeras necesidades". Considero, que cada día uno debe esforzarse por buscar la luz, y el conocimiento necesario para caminar en las tinieblas de la vida.
