- ¡Saludos amigos de #Hive, bienvenidos a otra deliciosa receta con uno de los pescados más carnosos y deliciosos del mar como lo es el lebranche; con una combinación de ingredientes para una suculenta sopa. Espero les guste mi preparación y lo disfruten.

Ingredientes / Ingredients: 🔪


- 2 kilos de pescado lebranche, 1 plátano verde, 1 ramito de cilantro, 1 ramito de cebollín, 3 pedazos de yuca, 6 papas grandes, 4 dientes de ajo, 6 ajíes dulces, 1/2 kilo de auyama, 1 pedazo de apio, 1 pedazo de ocumo, 1 pedazo de ñame, 2 limones, sal al gusto, aceite, agua.
- 2.20 lbs of lebranche fish, 1 green plantain, 1 sprig of coriander, 1 sprig of chives, 3 pieces of yucca root, 6 large potatoes, 4 cloves of garlic, 6 sweet peppers, 0.5 lbs of pumpkin, 1 piece of celery, 1 piece of ocumo, 1 piece of yam, 2 lemons, salt to taste, oil, water.

Preparación / Preparation: 🐟


- Lavamos y cortamos las verduras: auyama, plátano verde, apio, ocumo y yuca.
- We wash and cut the vegetables: pumpkin, green plantain, celery, ocumo and yucca root.

- En una olla con suficiente agua añadimos las verduras y colocamos a hervir a fuego alto.
- In a pot with enough water, add the vegetables and bring to a boil over high heat.

- Lavamos, cortamos el cebollín, cilantro, ajos y ajíes dulces y colocamos en un sartén con aceite, agregamos sal al gusto.
- Wash, cut the chives, coriander, garlic and sweet peppers and place in a pan with oil, add salt to taste.

- Y sofreímos a fuego medio.
- And fry over medium heat.

- Al estar blandas las verduras, colocamos los trozos de pescado, mezclamos y cocinamos por 10 min a fuego alto.
- When the vegetables are soft, place the pieces of fish, mix and cook for 10 min over high heat.

- Agregamos el sofrito.
- We add the sofrito.

- Mezclamos, corregimos de sal.

- Apagamos y dejamos reposar.

I'm not familiar with lebranche mullet, but I love what locally is called black mullet. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mullet_(fish)
I just looked it up and they seem pretty much the same.
Lots of folks say they're too fishy tasting and oily. Maybe, but their oil is great for smoking and for making dips. It adds extra flavor.
