Evening on the hills of Roztochya

| I live in the beautiful area of Roztochya - a place that is part of the Great European Watershed. This hilly strip in our region separates the basins of the Black (which is part of the Mediterranean) and the Baltic Seas (the latter is part of the North Atlantic). On one side of the hills all the streams sooner or later fall into the Black Sea, on the other - into the Baltic. I often like to walk at the foot of the hills (and I go for mushrooms in the forest located on these hills, but now my story is not about that 😄). So recently, one fine autumn evening, I decided to take a walk on a dirt road leading to these wooded hills. Since it was just before sunset, everything around was hidden in a thick penumbra, but the tops of the distant hills, where deciduous trees grow, blazed with precious gold. This is all because now in the midst of autumn and the treetops have turned yellow. And that evening the setting sun illuminated the tops of the trees with its rays, although it was already quite dark below. It created an interesting effect, and most importantly, it was very beautiful! | Я живу у чудовій місцевості Розточчя - це місце, яке є частиною Великого Європейського вододілу. Ця горбиста смуга в нашому регіоні розділяє басейни Чорного (яке є частиною середземноморського басейну) та Балтійського морів (останнє входить до Північної Атлантики). З однієї сторони горбів всі струмки рано чи пізно потрапляють до Чорного моря, з іншої - до Балтійського. Я часто люблю гуляти біля підніжжя пагорбів (а ще я ходжу по гриби у ліс, розташований на цих пагорбах, але зараз моя оповідь не про це 😄). Тому нещодавно, одного чудового осіннього вечора я вирішив прогулятися по ґрунтовій дорозі, що веде, до цих лісистих пагорбів. Оскільки це було перед самих заходом сонця, то все довкола було сховано у густій напівтіні, але верхівки далеких пагорбів, де ростуть листяні дерева, палахкотіли коштовним золотом. Це все тому, що зараз в розпалі осінь і крони дерев вже стали жовтими. А того вечора сонце, що сідало, освітлювало своїми променями верхівки дерев, хоча внизу було вже досить темно. Це створювало цікавий ефект, а головне, що це було дуже красиво! |
