Momentos vividos en el mes de noviembre/ Moments experienced in the month of November

Hola amigos, es un gran gusto saludarles. Deseo que estén muy bien y que hayan podido cumplir todas sus metas de este mes de noviembre que recién nos dejó. Cada mes tiene su propia esencia; para mí, noviembre es un mes muy importante porque, al finalizar, recibimos la bendición del nuevo año de vida de mi hijo.

Este mes, desde sus inicios, me generó mucha inquietud. Esto se debió al tema de ciertos arreglos que debía realizar en mi hogar y que, necesariamente, requerían de tiempo y dinero. A esto se le sumó un estrés adicional generado por la dificultad de conseguir mano de obra calificada, lo cual, para mí, ha sido toda una pesadilla.

Se fueron juntando los trabajos por realizar. Uno de ellos era el cambio de la llave de paso de mi apartamento, y esto era vital para poder ejecutar los siguientes trabajos necesarios. Era el caso, por ejemplo, de sustituir el sistema completo de la regadera, pasándola de ser de dos llaves a una sola, y resolver el tema del carateo de las cerámicas para evitar filtraciones como las que tenía. Además, el cambio de la regadera en sí y otras reparaciones menores. Todo esto significó una agenda apretada de trabajo doméstico y planificación.

Hello friends, it is a great pleasure to greet you. I hope you are all well and that you were able to achieve all your goals for the month of November that has just passed. Each month has its own essence; for me, November is a very important month because, at the end of it, we receive the blessing of my son's new year of life.

This month, from the very beginning, caused me a lot of concern. This was due to certain repairs that I had to make in my home, which necessarily required time and money. Added to this was the additional stress caused by the difficulty of finding skilled labor, which, for me, has been a nightmare.

The jobs to be done piled up. One of them was changing the shut-off valve in my apartment, which was vital in order to carry out the other necessary jobs. This was the case, for example, with replacing the entire shower system, changing it from two faucets to a single one, and fixing the grouting between the tiles to prevent leaks like the ones I had. In addition, there was the replacement of the shower itself and other minor repairs. All of this meant a busy schedule of domestic work and planning.

Otra de las cosas que quería lograr era adornar mi jardín de Navidad, y lo hice. Definitivamente, fue una meta lograda. Quería construir un arco con dos matas de trinitarias que había sembrado, una de color fucsia y la otra blanca, y mi idea era unirlas y luego decorarlas con sus luces. Pude conseguirlo, y esto fue algo que me hizo muy feliz, así como haber podido decorar, un año más, mi porche de Navidad.

Este mes, también estuvimos muy activos con las actividades deportivas de mi hijo Daniel, quien está muy enfocado en el voleibol y le va muy bien en sus entrenamientos. Cada día lo veo esforzándose por cumplir sus metas en la cancha y fuera de ella.

En el ámbito académico, asistí a las asesorías de mi trabajo especial de grado. Me correspondían dos asesorías por mes y logré cumplir con todas ellas y avanzar significativamente en lo que será el desarrollo de mi tesis. Es un trabajo que amerita tiempo y mucho esfuerzo, y en eso estamos concentrados. Ya en enero retomaremos nuevamente las clases y seguiremos avanzando en esta etapa académica crucial.

Another thing I wanted to achieve was to decorate my Christmas garden, and I did it. It was definitely a goal achieved. I wanted to build an arch with two trinity plants that I had planted, one fuchsia and the other white, and my idea was to join them together and then decorate them with lights. I was able to do it, and this made me very happy, as did being able to decorate my Christmas porch for another year.

This month, we were also very busy with my son Daniel's sports activities. He is very focused on volleyball and is doing very well in his training. Every day I see him striving to achieve his goals on and off the court.

On the academic front, I attended my special degree project tutorials. I had two tutorials per month and managed to complete them all and make significant progress on my thesis. It is a task that requires time and a lot of effort, and that is what we are focused on. In January, we will resume classes and continue to make progress in this crucial academic stage.

En general, este fue un mes muy tranquilo, dedicado a la casa, a los estudios, a los niños y a cumplir con todos los compromisos del día, de la familia y de las obligaciones por cumplir. Siempre tratando de entrenar cuando podía, de dormir y de llevar una vida lo más equilibrada posible sin morir en el intento. Esa es la clave para la estabilidad en medio de tantas responsabilidades.

Este mes siempre cierra con broche de oro, pues finaliza con el cumpleaños de mi hijo. Yo, como siempre, ando apurada por hacer la torta y acompañarle en su día especial. En esta oportunidad, estuvieron presentes su grupo más cercano del equipo de voleibol, y pudimos cerrar la noche con un cumpleaños feliz. Fue un cierre con broche de oro, en familia y con personas agradables, realizando una nueva creación para celebrar la vida de mi hijo. En esta ocasión, fue una torta decorada con golosinas de la que quedé muy satisfecha. Sin duda, fue una meta cumplida de las muchas tantas que vendrán. Ahora a prepararnos para lo que nos trae diciembre, el último mes del año.

Overall, this was a very quiet month, devoted to the house, studies, the children, and fulfilling all of my daily commitments, family obligations, and other responsibilities. I always tried to train when I could, get enough sleep, and lead as balanced a life as possible without dying in the attempt. That is the key to stability amid so many responsibilities.

This month always ends on a high note, as it ends with my son's birthday. As always, I am in a hurry to make the cake and accompany him on his special day. On this occasion, his closest friends from the volleyball team were present, and we were able to end the night with a happy birthday. It was a grand finale, with family and nice people, creating something new to celebrate my son's life. This time, it was a cake decorated with sweets that I was very pleased with. Without a doubt, it was one goal achieved out of the many that will come. Now let's get ready for what December, the last month of the year, has in store for us.
