Hello, dear friends at @TheAnimeRealm—sending you greetings and blessings. Today, I bring you a story where envy, power, and the desire for a healthy life take center stage. It is set in an era where vying for a position—especially one close to the Emperor—is crucial, and any means to achieve it are considered fair game. But what happens if souls are swapped into different bodies? The "villainess" is no longer the original one, but rather our innocent maiden. The story is Futsutsuka na Akujo dewa Gozaimasu ga: Suuguu Chouso Torikae Den.

The story begins with Ko Reirin, a young maiden belonging to the group of candidates vying to become the future empress consort to Prince Ei Gyomei. Among the five contenders, Reirin is considered the most outstanding and the one who has won the prince's heart; however, she suffers from fragile health—plagued by fevers and body aches—forcing her to live with constant discomfort. Despite this, she performs her duties to the best of her ability, refusing to let her poor health hold her back, and maintains a strong, cheerful demeanor no matter how unwell she feels.

That personality and perseverance have stirred up envy among many of the maidens—particularly Shu Keigetsu, a young woman adopted by the Shu clan (part of the Emperor's court) as a potential candidate for the prince. However, Keigetsu’s lack of grace and abrasive attitude have made her a last-choice contender for the role of Empress; consequently, her hatred for the favorite, Reirin, has intensified to the point where she decides to harm her—specifically by swapping their souls. Yet, while this might seem like a misfortune for Reirin, it actually turns out to be the opposite.

As I mentioned earlier, Reirin has such a frail body that she might appear fine, yet she would actually carry out her duties even while running a fever; now, possessing a healthy, strong body is a true blessing for her. Of course, she must still deal with the consequences of the misdeeds committed by the real Keigetsu, but this is a unique opportunity to have experiences she previously missed out on and to view things more positively. It is also a chance to appreciate her past actions and experiences, demonstrating that one cannot judge a book by its cover—things are not always what they seem, and to understand the person labeled "bad," one must truly grasp what drove them to become that way. Now, it will be easier for Reirin to uncover certain truths hidden within the empire, help the person whose body she currently inhabits, and change her cruel destiny. The series consists of a first season comprising 11 episodes.
