Remote work with my cousin [ENG/ESP]

Greetings @worklife community, today I want to share with you how has been my experience working with a cousin, who has taught me how to apply the basics of design and many other things, which I have also learned on my own. My cousin, in the middle of 2023, told me that, if I wanted to learn how to use Canva, design flyers and so on, I really knew how to handle a little bit of Photoshop, Illustrator and some Canva, because in my career I saw two subjects of it, but they only teach you the very basics of Graphic Design.

Even so, I knew something and she needed support in some designs that would have to be done or do other work, which did not give her the time, because she took several tasks and is responsible for several projects and well, it is not that she gave me great remuneration for it, but as it was not all the time and helped me, I agreed, also took experience of the same. Anyway, at the beginning it was hard for me to get the hang of it and to know how I wanted the composition of the projects to be.

There was even a month in which he did not hire me, so to speak; at that time I agreed to work in a warehouse and taking care of the house of some animals, because I did not see as much responsibility to work with her, adding that, by then, I did not have my new computer that is faster and processes better programs, that is, I did not feel confident in trying to make more designs.

Then, by December, I was in great demand, and my mother's illness was getting worse, so I decided to quit the winery and work with my cousin, well, also here at Hive and in small enterprises that I am in the process of employing. The truth is, I was better off with my cousin than at the bodega, because it was much more overwhelming and the pay was not good at all.

Currently, I am not only doing design in Canva and Photoshop, I also make promotional videos for the company where he works, which is one where they motivate people to participate in awards for care and body exercises, basically, as a contest for who achieves better results physically. She has even congratulated me because I have improved a lot and even gives me more responsibilities and that makes me feel very good, because despite not having a thorough knowledge about design and I am somewhat slow to apply the various tools of the same, I do not stop and keep learning.

I've even looked into how to make better effects with Capcut, which makes the videos more eye-catching and professional. I hope to continue learning, get better results and earnings, which will allow me stability and advance in my goals.

Saludos comunidad de @worklife, hoy les quiero compartir como ha sido mi experiencia trabajando con una prima, la cual me ha enseñado como aplicar los fundamentos básicos del diseño y muchas otras cosas, que también he aprendido por cuenta propia. Mi prima, a mediados del 2023, me dijo que, si quería aprender a usar Canva, diseñar flyers y así sucesivamente, realmente sabia como manejar un poco de Photoshop, Illustrator y algo de Canva, pues en mi carrera vi dos materias de ello, pero solo te enseñan lo muy básico del Diseño Gráfico.

Aun así, algo sabia y ella necesitaba apoyo en algunos diseños que se tendría que hacer o hacer otros trabajos, de los cuales no le daba el tiempo, pues tomaba varias tareas y se hace responsable de varios proyectos y bueno, tampoco es que me daba gran remuneración por ello, pero como no era todo momento y me ayudaba, accedí, además tomaba experiencia del mismo. En fin, al principio me costó agarrarle el hilo y saber como es que deseaba que fuese la composición de los mismos.

Incluso, hubo un mes en que no me ¿contrató?, por así decirlo; en ese entonces accedí a trabajar en una bodega y cuidando la casa de unos animales, pues no veía como mucha responsabilidad hacia el trabajo con ella, agregando que, para ese entonces, no poseía mi nueva computadora que es más rápida y procesa mejor los programas, es decir, no me sentía en confianza en intentar hacer más diseños.

Entonces y para diciembre, me estuvo solicitando mucho, aunado que la enfermedad de mi mamá se agravaba más, decidí renunciar a la bodega y hacer los trabajos con mi prima, bueno, también aquí en Hive y en pequeños emprendimientos que estoy en proceso de emplear. La verdad, me salía mejor con mi prima, que, en la bodega, pues era mucho más agobiante y la paga no era para nada buena.

Actualmente, le estoy, no solo haciendo diseño en Canva y Photoshop, también le hago los videos promocionales de la empresa que donde trabaja, que es una donde motivan a la gente a participar en las premiaciones por cuidados y ejercicios de cuerpo, básicamente, como un concurso por bien quien logra mejores resultados físicamente. Incluso me ha felicitado porque he mejorado mucho y hasta me deja mayores responsabilidades y eso me hace sentir muy bien, porque a pesar de no tener un conocimiento a fondo sobre el diseño y que soy algo lenta para aplicar las diversas herramientas del mismo, no me detengo y sigo aprendiendo.

Hasta he buscado como hacer mejores efectos con Capcut, lo que vuelvo los videos más llamativos y profesionales. Espero seguir aprendiendo, obtener mejores resultados y ganancias, que me permita estabilidad y avanzar en mis metas.
