Hi friends, how are you over there?
Don't you have days where you don't feel like doing anything, well yesterday, that's how my mom was. She asked me to make her some food and I decided to make something quick and easy. The first thing I did was look at the ingredients I had on hand, I saw that there was a good piece of pork and ready, I came up with the idea of making her some pork with onions, easy. I'm not an expert but I get by in the kitchen.

No les pasa que hay días que no tienen ganas de hacer nada, pues ayer, así estaba mi mamá. Me pidió que le hiciera la comida y decidí prepararle algo muy rapidito y sin muchas complicaciones. Lo primero que hice fue mirar los ingredientes que tenía a la mano, ví que había un buen pedazo de carne de cerdo y listo, se me ocurrió hacerle carnita de cerdo encebollada, fácil. No soy una experta pero me defiendo en la cocina.

When they were almost done I took them out and started preparing the onions. I cut them up and fried them in a few drops of oil, when they browned a little, I added the steaks and I started to sauté them at the same time that I added a splash of apple cider vinegar and a pinch of salt and ground cumin until they took on a uniform color.

Ahora les cuento cómo la preparé: Tomé la carne y la piqué en unos bisteces no tan finos porque quería pasarlos por la freidora de aire para que se asaran un poquito, así son más saludables ya que no hay que añadirle aceite y se cocinan con su propia grasa. Cuando ya le faltaba poco para que estuvieran bien hechos los saqué y comencé a preparar las cebollas. Las piqué y sofreí en unas gotas de aceite, al dorarse un poco, agregué los bisteces y me dispuse a saltearlos al mismo tiempo que añadí un chorrito de vinagre de manzana y una pizca de sal y comino en polvo hasta que tomaron un color uniforme.
