Hola amigos hivers, decidí ir con mi mama ir al conuco que tiene mi abuelo, el cual falleció y mi mama y mis tías decidieron no abandonar y seguir sembrando, les cuento que hablar de esta tierra me hace recordar mucho los tiempos de mi niñez cuando venía de visitas y corría con mis primos por todos estos terrenos , subíamos montañas en verdad éramos incansable, pero ya todos hemos crecido y ternemos trabajos de ciudad , solo visitamos la arena ,es el nombre que popularmente desde hace años lleva esta tierra debido a que es arenosa y cuenta mi mama que mi abuelo sembraba papas , chacos , maní y se le daba la siembra en óptimas condiciones, el problema que actualmente presentan ellas para seguir sembrando es el agua, por eso tienen un pequeño tanque que lo llenan para regar las plantas que poseen , las ayuda mucho la lluvia y el sereno de la noche.

La arena es una extensión de terreno amplia , rodeada de hermosas montañas , totalmente verdes donde corre la brisa fresca, cuando cae la tarde se vuelve fría, aquí comenzamos nuestro recorrido los invito a caminar conmigo e ir recorriendo este hermoso paisaje , donde vamos viendo cañaverales que se sembraron desde hace 90 años y aún los sigue mantienendo un tío que se encarga del desmalezamiento y siembra de la nueva semilla , la caña es totalmente dulce y la recortan en cierto tiempo para meterla en un trapiche y sacar el jugo de caña , rico y muy dulce, hay personas que lo acompañan con limón, luego bajamos una parte aproximada de 4 metros de profundidad donde pasa un rio el cual solo correr cuando llueve y cuando crece inmunda el pueblo. Se llama Rio salado cuando crece no se puede ir para la arena pues no permite el paso. Por el cauce del rio nos encontramos arena tipo cascajo. Piedras muy bonitas como para decorar. Actualmente pasamos por allí porque está seco. Y podemos observar las raíces de ciertos árboles.

Ya hemos bajado y subido el cauce del Rio, nos encontramos con el conuco de mi abuelo, allí mi tía minerva tiene una siembra de berenjena , rica para hacer cremas, guisos , salsas ., su esposo la ayuda ya que ella fue diagnosticada con mal de Parkinson ya en etapa muy avanzada pero la gran fortaleza que tiene para seguir sembrando para mí es admirable .Luego sigo caminando y me encuentro con la siembra del popular ají margariteño, propio y único de la región, esta semilla del ají margariteño se a llevado a otras regiones de Venezuela y no da el mismo sabor, su sabor y su olor único que le da gusto a las comidas es por tal motivo recibió el nombre de aji margariteño. El cual es solicitado por muchos turistas que vienen de diferentes sectores.

Mas adelante sigo caminando y me encuentro con la siembra de mi mama la cual tiene plantas de granada, la planta de limón bastante desarrollada, y otras plantitas que ella tiene, ya que les han arado gran parte para comenzar con la siembra de maní y de fijol propia de este suelo arenoso , más adelante me encuentro con la siembra de mi tía lely , que se enfocó en sembrar yuca y achote o onoto , la plantas estaban muy bien , ya el achote florecido y con sus maracas llenas de semillas rojas.

En el centro del terreno lo adorna una frondosa planta de mango que tiene aproximadamente 80 años, estaba florecida y con algunos mangos verdes, la cual brinda sombra al lugar y allí mi mama y mis tías reposan de la jornada de siembra y limpieza de las plantas, esta planta de mango recibió el nombre de la planta de santo, llamada así por mis tías por que un señor llamado santo la sembró y desde tiempos de mi abuelo ya tenía este nombre.

En el recorrido llego al ranchito de mi tía minerva donde tiene otras plantaciones tale como taparo, girasoles algunos se mantienen vivos y otros ya cumplieron su tiempo de vida, allí me di cuenta que mi tía tenia guanábanos , mientras iba caminando iba tomando fotos admirando lo bello de la naturaleza, tan bellas sus montañas cargadas de vida, llenas de energía, un paisaje tan hermoso donde puedes respirar un aire diferente , me lleno de energía esta caminata. De mi experiencia les puedo decir que disfrute mucho este paseo con mi mama, ella le encanto que la acompañara y yo disfrute mucho de su compañía y del lugar que desde hace años no veía, de verdad la naturaleza sana, llegue a la casa agotada pero a la vez reconfortada y relajada del estrés de trabajo.
