The New Reward Cards Finally Unleashed
Evening Splinterlands Lover
So today Splinterlands finally unleashed the 21 new reward cards, with some new awesome abilities. And I feel so excited to finally use and watch them in action wrecking havoc in the battle field.
It has been the same forever, whenever a new card set gets released I gets too excited and can't stop myself from blabbering about them.
So without any further delay, let me dive into the new comers.
Lava Launcher
Lava Launcher is the new epic fire splinter ranged tank with Close Range and Stun abilities. It has average speed making it useful in both normal and Reverse Speed rule set. Its utility will increase many folds in Armored Up and Weak Magic rulesets.
Nonetheless, another one up sleeve for Yodin Zaku.
Eploding Rats
Exploding Rats are new rare melee attack little things, we have got to face now. Like Exploding Dwarf they also have Blast ability and only one health. But they are damn fast with a speed of 7 at max level. At max level they also have Redemption and True Strike ability. They may be little but they indeed do pack a serious punch.
Venari Hearsmith
Venari Hearsmith may seem innocuous by the looks but it's not. This fire monster gives all enemy monsters the Amplify debuff, giveing them 1+ damage as a result of Return Fire, Magic Reflect and Thorns. Moreover, equipped with Void Armor, Thorns and decent speed it would not be that much easy to kill.
Djinn Oshannus
Djinn Oshannus adds to the list of many water splinter magic legendaries. But it has a decent defense mechanism in place in the form of high speed, Void, Phase and Forcefield abilities. This guy can go on attacking without having to worry about magic reflect and is perfect to counter heavy hitters.
Venari Wavessmith
Venari Wavessmith is yet another nice addition of the water splinter ranks. This rare magic attack monsters has two powerful abilities Protect and Dispel but beware it can die out quickly as a result of magic reflect.
Pelacor Bandit
Pelacor Bandit is the new water splineter sneak monster. This guy packs a serious punch for a 3 mana common monster plus all of the comes at a decent speed and Flying ability. Watch your back guys.
Djinn Biljka
Djinn Bilka is our new earth splinter legendary monster. It has the new Camouflage ability right from level 1, making up for its weak health. Moreover this guy also have Void ability to counter magic reflect. Icing on cake is the Weaken ability.
Venari Seedsmith
Venari Seedsmith is a nice scavenger addition to the Earth splinter monsters. This guy has a decent ranged attack with Poison ability making it a real threat. Scavenge ability does makeup to some extent for low health.
Pelacor Mercenary
This new earth splinter tank has average speed and attack. But a flying tank with Heal and Retaliate ability can prove to quite potent if played wisely.
Djinn Renova
Djinn Renova, the new Life splinter healer has heavy magic attack along with Strengthen and Triage abilities. She can indeed prove to be a nice utility monster for her splinter but again watch out for magic reflect as she has low health.
Venari Crystalsmith
Venari Crystalsmith the new Life ranged monster possesses decent attack along with Tank Heal ability right from the Lev-1. She also has adequate health for a 4 mana attack and not to ignore Dispel ability at higher levels.
Pelacor Conjurer
Pelacor Conjurer like the other Pelacor's, is a common tank. This no attack is loaded with useful abilities like Flying, Magic Reflect, Devine Shield and Phase. And all of this comes at a low cost of just 2 mana. Reminds me of Failed Summoner.
Harklaw
Harklaw is the new death splinter legendary. This guy is designed to take a beating as it have Shield, Immunity and Demoralize abilities with decent health and shield. The only weakness is magic attack, so this guy will be a nice tank to use with Mimosa.
Venari Bonesmith
The Death splinter variant of Venari's is actually quite impressive. It have Life Leach to start with and gets dangerous poison ability at lev 4. And in the last gets Dispel. Not bad for a 4 mana monster.
Pelacor Deceiver
Pelacor Deceiver is the death splinter tanks, it comes with the new Backfire ability giving enemy +2 damage if they miss this guy. Equipped with Flying ability and a fast speed, I see chances of missing are quite high. Good luck killing it with low speed monsters. Moreover their is Retaliate too at max level.
Djinn Chwala
The Dragon splinter Chawla guy is quite potent. Having decent health and shield, it is equipped with Throns, Enrage and True Strike abilities. The only weakness of this guy is magic attacks.
Naga Assassin
Naga Assassin is the new dragon splinter ranged monster. Decent speed, Swiftness along with Backfire ability makes taking a shot at it quite a dangerous job.
Twilight Basilisk
Twilight Basilisk is another dragon splinter monster with Reach ability. Although having low health, it have a the nice Stun ability. A perfect Little leagues monster if you ask me.
Uraeus
Uraeus is the the 3 mana neutral sneak guy. Like many sneak attackers it has poison ability. But the good part is that it does have some health and shield to survive.
Gargoya Devil
Gargoya Devil comes with Flying, Close Range and Deathblow abilities. But the health is a bit low by any standards especially if used up front. But Armored Up and Week Magic rule sets can give guy a good chance.
Gargoya Lion
Gargoya Lion is a low mana meat shield if you ask me. It can have utility especially in high magic environments. Also Flying and Enrage abilities are there to spice things up.
So those were the newly introduced reward monsters. We didn't had any new summoner, although I wished for them. It is quite hard to pick favorites for now as I am gonna have to experience them first hand before making any opinion. But exciting collection indeed. What you guys think?
